Buy Buy Baby or Babies R Us?

I haven't been in BBB yet so I don't know how to compare the 2, but which one do you think is better? BRU doesn't seem as expensive, but their selection on a lot of their items, I just don't like the patterns, etc. I get a lot of coupons for BBB lately since they just opened herein NC a few months ago. Thanks!

I was really excited that both stores are near us here! My cousin told me BBB is definitely the way to go (her son is 3 months old now) so I was just going to listen to her. I'm glad I don't have to go up to Long Island to register there.

Personally, I prefer BRU over BBB. I just don't like the layout of BBB--it very much resembles a Bed Bath & Beyond (owned by the same company), and I feel their prices are a little higher.

That said, BRU has an AWFUL return policy, so you have to make sure that whatever you're buying is what you want!

I think I am going with BBB since you can use the Bed Bath & Beyond coupons there- plus they are sending me coupons weekly which is awesome- I hope it lasts!

I like both.

BRU- has things that appear to be more on sale and cheaper. They are now allowing 20% coupons from BBB and will take them.
Returns, I have yet to encounter a prob and heading there in a few with a bunch from sprinkle. we will see.

BBB- I like that they carry a lot brands, coupons and return policy.
Also their customer service has been great, and I mean really great!

Just went this weekend and I personally liked BBB better... It seemed a little more organized than BRU and had much larger selections especially in car seats & strollers. I also did like how the set up was the same as bed, bath & beyond (but again this was my frist time there, and am not even thinking about registering yet so my mind will probably change once I get to that point)

I like both but I prefer BRU. I feel thier store layout is more manageable. BBB seems too overwhelming. I also like the BRU website better - they have a lot of helpful customer reviews for all the products they carry.

Both stores have 20% off coupons. BRU puts one in the newspaper every Sunday & BBB mails them to our house pretty often.

With that said, I registered at both stores. The majority of my registry items are at BRU but BBB had some nice stuff as well.

We ended up registering at BRU. There is only one BBB around us and its not close, there are a lot more BRU locations so I figured it would be easier for the family. I also didn't care for BBB's website.

IMO, BBB is so much better!

I did register at both, but I put some smaller items on my BRU registry and the bigger stuff on BBB. BRU always seems to be out of stock on so many items, most are "On line only" and when I went there I was so confused and frustrated.

So far, no problems with BBB

For registry items I prefer BBB - for the things I wanted, the prices were the same or cheaper than BRU.

I registered at both though since BRU was way more convenient. I had no issues with returns.

We went with BBB because I liked their selection better, and their return policy is WAY easier than BRU. Their website leaves a little to be desired, but overall I liked BBB better.

I prefer BRU, like others said the layout is much more manageable. I like that BRU has locations everywhere, and you can also shop at Toys R Us for most things. I also find their prices to be a little bit better, and you receive their coupons regularly.

I'm registered at both places, but I definitely have more on my BRU registry. I hate BRU return policy but I'll just have to deal.

I like both, and think they are basically the same... the only reason we chose BRU is because there are only two BBB stores on the entire island and didn't want to inconvenience people who don't like shopping online.

i love buy buy baby - the prices are better or cheaper than BRU before 20% off

they have an amzing return policy - no questions asked - don't need the receipt to get full price back on an item as long as they sell it

also great customer service - our crib did not come with parts and they drove to my house to give them - it was a problem from the crib company

I registered a little early, online only, just to see what both stores had and I hated BBB website. I'm glad I didn't judge only on that though because I Absolutely LOVE the store. BRU in my opinion has a much better and more helpful website.

I ended up registering with BBB for two reasons. 1- they seemed to have the patterns I wanted and 2- they had 20% off coupons so I felt my guests could save a little $. 2 weeks after registering though I started seeing that BRU sends out 20% off coupons now in the flyers...

I think it's really just a personal choice. Check out both and see who has more of what you want!

I registered at BBB only.

Too many BTDT mommy friends told me to stay away from BRU.

BBB is a bit higher priced than BRU, however you can use non expired Bed Bath and Beyond & BRU coupons there. To me that helps with the pricing.

Also BBB has a much better return policy - I hear BRU is a nightmare.

I liked the selection of items at BBB much better.

I did both and happy I did. BBB's store is a little overwhelming but some of the stuff I liked better. BRU is definitely a little more convenient for some.

I'm obviously new to the pregnancy/baby thing... but I have been inside both stores and just like the layout and organization better in Buy Buy Baby!

I registered at both places when I was PG the first time. THIS time, I wouldn't go near BRU. I find them not nearly as knowledgeable about their products, tolerant of their customers and the return policy sux arse. Our registry is at BBB only. Customer service alonemakes it much more worth it to pay a little more and this is coming from someone who grew up in retail.

I also only registered with BBB. Two big reasons were 1. My BTDT mommies curse BRU returns and registries, and 2. BBB had many more "modern" and up to date models & patterns of things. I also found BBB to be a little cheaper with some stuff, where others say BRU is. I don't know, but the 20% off is another huge factor!!!

I registered at both! I don't find that one is cheaper than the other consistently and I like to have that much more of a selection. Also, my guests will have the two stores to choose from. Both have locations very close to me and my family. I say, if you find things you like at either store, just register for it.

After the experience I had at BRU today, I will NEVER recommend that store! LOL If you do, make sure you put the word out thru family, that people should DEFINITELY give you a gift receipt if something is NOT on your registry and comes from there! They wouldn't even give me store credit today! I HATE that store...sorry to vent, and I know some people have had great experiences, lucky them!!!
