BTDT Moms- Buying new clothes

I am almost a month postpartum and I am 10 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Although I feel like I look somewhat similar to my old self, my old clothes DO NOT fit.

I have been wearing my maternity jeans/pants, but I obviously don't want to keep wearing them. On the one hand, I am looking forward to buying all new clothes, but that can get kind of Chat Icon

So, my question, if you don't mind sharing, were you able to fit into your old jeans/ pants at any point? Even if I think I might be able to, I highly doubt they would have the same look. Chat Icon I think I would probably need to go up 2 sizes. Thanks!

You may just need to try on different brands. Try NY and Co-I always found their pants to fit my curvy body well. I have the opposite issue-all my pants are too big. I lost my azz and fat thighs but have a crazy gross stomach

I know the stomach is the worst! Believe me, I have NEVER had a flat stomach. I've always had a little pouch. I was actually surprised that my stomach went down as much as it did, but it's still bigger/flabbier than what it was. I've always been on the thin side so it makes it so much more noticeable. I keep thinking I will just do ab exercises, but then I think who am I kidding?? Chat Icon I HATE ab exercises.

Re: BTDT Moms- Buying new clothes

I bought one pair of PP jeans to take me through the transition period. Now that I have decided to go back to work, I will have to buy more. My size 4 jeans are just not going to work for me anymore.Chat Icon

Same here. Some fit me better than before, some the same and some don't fit AT ALLChat Icon I got back to "normal" very soon, like 3-4 months or something.

Re: BTDT Moms- Buying new clothes

I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but my clothes fit very differently. I can wear one pair of pre-pregnancy jeans. I also bought another pair that's 1 size larger than I was before getting pregnant. I still wear my maternity jeans sometimes.

I have a big problem with my tops too. I'm 2 cup sizes larger so my shirts are all a lot shorter. I hate the way most of them fit now.

Everyone's body is different..
Sometimes it takes a toll on your body sometimes not..

Don't be upset, if you have to get new pants..

Get them and stay focused on losing the new weight

it took me 3-4 mts and I was losing my mind..
But I am a nutjob :(

Exactly! I can zip most of my old pants but they are so tight across the hips! My waist is small but my hips have moved. I don't think it is weight necessarily but more skeletal!

Go get yourself some new pants. I did around 7 or 8 weeks after and I felt good wearing real clothes, even though I was up a few sizes. Before I was between a 2 and 4, depending on the cut/store and now I'm a 4 almost everywhere. It depends so much on the cut now!
