BTDT Moms - Zantac - Acid Reflux question
My DS has been on Zantac for a few weeks for acid reflux. I was wondering how long your DC used Zantac and did you wean them off or just stop giving it to them. TIA

My baby was on Prilosec and zantac. She had severe reflux where she would stop breathing and turn blue. She was on the meds until about 4 months. I weaned her off all her medications. Instead of 3 times a day i would do 2 times and then 1 time and then stop.

Dd was on it for almost 11 months. Every time we tried to take her off before that it got bad.
She was on it 2x a day- we started giving 1x a day instead for 2 weeks, then stopped altogether.

My DD is still on Zantac, she just turned 7 mos. We had her off it for a few days to see if she could get away without it but, she isn't ready yet so she went back on.

DS is a little over 7 months and we just started to wean him, we went down from 3x's a day to 2 and we'll see how it goes.
