BTDT Bfing moms
I am nursing my son now and sometimes for his last feeding we give him a bottle of pumped milk.
At what age did your son/daughter start sleeping longer during the night.
I notice if I just nurse him before bed he does not sleep too long at all.

This is how it went for us.
Bottle of pumped milk at 8pm
8:30-9pm bedtime
9:10 -9:20 pumping
Midnight I'd wake up and pump and normally by time I was done he was up for a bottle again. Give him a bottle and went to sleep.
3am he would wake up for a bottle and as I gave it to him I pumped
7am.... same thing but new day....
After about 3 weeks he dropped the midnight feeding and we made bedtime 10pm which his last bottle at 9:45 but naturally I still had to get up to pump to keep my supply since he was just taking BM bottles.
Have you read the Happiest Baby of the Block.. do you have a miracle blanket... both were LIFE SAVERS for us!

At six weeks my daughter started sleeping longer (up to six hours between feedings). It was entirely on her own, I did nothing different. From that point on it was usually just one middle of the night feeding with some random periods of two feedings. She started going to sleep earlier around five months with still just one middle of the night feeding. I have always nursed her to sleep at night.

It seems so long ago, yet it wasn't. I BF my son for 1 year, he never took formula, and hardly a bottle of pumped BM unless I was out. When we moved him from his bassinet to his crib at 3 months, he slept 12 hours night and has been doing so ever since.  Yes, I am lucky!
