my friends father worked for the the FBI Movie Picture division where they went after bootleggers and prosecuted them ... man, she had every single movie ever made on bootleg!

Well I agree that movies are too expensive. BUT I'd personally rather s uck it up and spend the money at the theater than get a crappy copy of a bootleg that takes away from the film..
Or just wait for it to come onto DVD ..
I only saw a bootleg once, I DID feel kinda weird about it and I totally did NOT enjoy it on a whole
Now as for burned CDs... I have FAR too many of those!

You ever think that the reason why the movies have to be so much is because people are stealing movies (ie: bootleg)
Paying for a bootleg makes you worse then the people who are making the bootleg.

It's a risk- my students used to buy bootlegs off the street and often they were blank tapes! I wouldn't trust a bootlegger.

I believe if you burn a cd for personal use with music you purchase, it's ok.
Not wanting to pay for a movie is not justification for buying a bootleg movie...there are laws protecting such things and just because you paid for it does not mean it is legal to own it.
