BF moms - I have an upset stomach is it ok to keep nursing?
Hi ladies, i have a bit of an upset stomach tonight - not sure if it is a virus or something i ate - i am not throwing up but - the other thing 
Is it ok to BF my son tonight or should i give him a bottle? I'm only hesitating b/c i don't have any stored BM right now so it would have to be formula (which I do give him sometimes). I have been BF all day b/f I realized how bad my stomach was... Is that ok?

Its fine to keep bfing... even if you have food poisoning it would still be of no harm to DC. Feel Better!

One time I had a really bad upset stomach and decided to pump and dump a few hours later...I didn't want to risk it, although they do say that its not necessary...

I just got over a REALLY wicked stomach virus. The doctor (who, by the way was named CRAPSTER) told me it was fine to nurse with a stomach flu.
BUT, then he had to put me on anti nausea meds for the night (I couldn't keep ANYTHING down) so I had to pump and dump for one day.
As long as you aren't taking Rx meds for nausea, you're fine. BTW- Immodium is fine to use while BFing.
Feel better- and keep nursing.
