Between 1-2 years, how many "well visits" did your child have?
I am having some insurance trouble
can you tell me aside from the 12 month and 2 year exam, how many other well visits did your child have?

I just looked at the chart from DD's pediatrician.
Well-visits at:
12 months
15 months
18 months
2 years
Then it skips to 3 yeas.

DD had a 15 month and an 18 month. Now she is not scheduled again until 2.

15 months
18 months
2 years
Then it skips to 3 yeas.

yeah, so my insurance said they cover 2 well visits between 13-24 months
she went at 15 months and then at 18 months
her 2 year visit was 3/18/09 (2 days before her 2nd birthday) and they are not covering this one
what happens now?
I just don't see how they cannot cover the 2 year visit 
stupid insurance

between 1 - 2 yrs we had visits every 3 months, then from 2 - 3 it looks like every 6 mos.

totally agree. It's so stupid for them to decline over two day - call your ped and see if they can resubmit with a later date.
I know our ped always prefers to do appts a few days after the "milestone" date - I thought it was for vaccine timing, but I bet it's for insurance purposes also.

My daughter has them every 3 months her 2nd year - so 12 months, 15, 18, 21, 24.

That's ridiculous. I would call your ped. and ask them to change the date of your last visit so it will be on or after her 2nd birthday. I would definetely fight that!

I had a VERY similar problem. My insurance also covers only 2 visits - and DS had his one year visit a little late so they counted that against us. We paid out of pocket for his 18 month visit.
He went at 12 months, 15 months, 18 months and will go again at 2 years.

Insurance sucks that way. My insurance didn't cover all the well visits during his first year. So I talked with my doctor's office and explained the problem. They billed it differently and all I had to do was pay a $25 copay like it was a sick visit.
