Best product to clean hardwood floors
We are putting hardwoods in shortly and I wanted some recommendations on what products to use to clean them

a dust mop. seriously. I've inherited floors that are TWO HUNDRED years old and that is the advice I was given.
nothing fancy. and take your shoes OFF!

My parents use this stuff and SWEAR by it. I have to say, their floors look gorgeous since they've started using it.
It's a whole kit and it's kind of expensive but worth every penny. Apparently it's also good for laminate flooring as well as tile.

This is what I use. When we had our hardwoods refinished, this is what they recommended. So far I've been happy with it.

Water. We just had hardwood floors installed, and the guy said this is all you need. The floor guy ( along with the guy at the kitchen cabinets place) told me all those hardwood cleaners takes the shine away.

I would normally agree, but the Bona stuff my parents use has done nothing but make their floors look more shiny.

swiffer w/vac to get the crud up and then the clorox mop with just a vinegar/water solution in a spray bottle. we have dark wood and it's the only thing that works well.
Swiffer liquid for hardwood floors is awful...
