Beautiful Baby Girl Has Arrived!
Well, our little girl is here! As you may remember, we were 41 weeks on Weds and scheduled to go into the hospital Weds night to start cervadil, I'd stay overnight and then they'd start pitocin the next morning. Well, DH and I went out to eat, checked into the hospital at 7pm, and I was already having contractions but didn't even feel them and I was 2cm!  So my little one decided on her own to come, which I was soooo happy about!! 
They broke my water and then gave me some pitocin to help speed up the contractions and demerol (sp?), and let me tell you, the demerol knocked me out!!!!! I'd pass out asleep and then wake to a painful contraction, and DH would hop up and comfort me, and then as soon as it was done, I'd fall back to sleep immediately. I was still so out of it that after a while of this, a nurse came in, asked how I was doing, I told her they were very strong and I could feel them in my bottom, they checked me, and I was 10cm!! They said I was ready to push!!! DH and I were soooo shocked, it happened sooo fast. We had planned to have DH go home that night to get a good night sleep, and they said that wasn't going to happen, she was going to be born soon. I started pushing at around 1:30am Thurs, and a little over an hour later, our little girl was born  After I felt the urge to push and pushed, I'd fall right back asleep, over & over again...it was crazy. We were and still are on cloud 9, we are just head over heels in love with her and loving everything about her. She had the cord around her neck, but thankfully everything was perfect and still is. She was 7lbs 8oz, 18 inches long, and has really light hair like mommy & daddy! We got discharged from the hospital yesterday, and are happy to be home with our little angel.
Last night, our first at home, was too perfect, I'm afraid it has spoiled us!! And breastfeeding is going well...it's definitely tough at times, but it's going well.
Can't wait to hear about all the new & upcoming babies!!
