Baby jogger question - found one good for birth and up!

We didn't get the baby jogger yet, but I'm dying to get it so that I can get out there and move after the baby is born.

DH had one with his younger daughter - but she is 10 and he doesn't remember anymore - can you put a newborn in a baby jogger? Does the harness hold a baby that small, or does the baby need to be bigger?

TIA ladies!

Re: Baby jogger question

I believe the baby needs to be bigger for the baby jogger.

Re: Baby jogger question

I'm thinking at least 4 mths or so - they should have good head/neck control depending on how stable the jogger is and whether you're walking or running with it.

I was just looking at these on BRU website and some of them say from birth and up, others say later.

Re: Baby jogger question

Some jogging/all terrain strollers have the option for carseat adapters or carrycots which will allow you to use the stroller earlier on.

ETA: My stroller (Mountain Buggy) can carry newborn on.

Re: Baby jogger question

I baby needs to be bigger. I don't remember how big, but we didin't put DD in one until she was able to sit on her own.

I would get the Baby Jogger model- I tested out several and this one was awesome- one hand fold and an adapter to put the carseat in when they are newborns so you can use it right away.

Re: Baby jogger question - found one good for birth and up!

I have one but only started using it recently and DD is 13 1/2 months,. I remember calling the company once I received it - got it as a gift and the lady said it should definitely not be used as a jogger until baby had good head control and at least 6 months. She said she didnt think any jogger should be used until baby was 6 months and up as you would be shaking them around too much.

Even the ones that say for birth and up?

I'll keep that nto consideration, because I know there are other things I should be buying instead....

I am sure they meant it is OK to use from birth as a stroller but NOT as a jogger. Too much bouncing for their little head without much suppport.
