I can tell you why I, personally, am getting annoyed. I think it's great that he got on here to tell his story...but then he goes on bashing the company. Someone asks him what he wants to be done. It is not the fact that he is posting about the terrible thing that happened. It's the fact that he is harassing me to do something about it when there is nothing for me TO do. It sounds to me like the company worked with him, took it off the shelves, then he wasn't happy. Then they recalled it. Now he's still not happy. I just don't get it.

I understand you guys being upset, but you gotta understand someone like me, i have that crib and when he posted the first few posts i couldnt find any info on the websites... Today he posted # and turns out my crib is one of those models being recalled... If he had not posted again who knows what might have happend to my DD when she does go into that crib. Right now shes been in a co-sleeper. The cribs dont have that form you send to manufactures like the car seats do.. I wouldnt have known anything about this, and it upsets me that just b/c you guys dont have that crib that your bashing someone who is trying to help others that do!! What about those babies who can get hurt??? I dont get upset about what people post on this website you can bash me all you want, but this does upsets me b/c the fact is it might or might not have happen to my child!!!!

I don't understand your anger???
If you don't like his post why do you just not read them???
I think that this is really important info, I for one have not seen his previous post, but if my baby was sleeping in a crib that was defective and could possibly endanger my babies life I would want to know about it. I have a friend at work who I just send this info to and she had this crib for her baby and would not have known about it otherwise.

There is no harm, however, he doesn't seem to be satisfied with the end result of the crib being recalled. That's the annoying part now.

I don't think you are understanding why people are annoyed with the OP. Perhaps you didn't read all of his other threads. Posting a recall doesn't bother me in the slightest. This particular poster and the manner in which he went about spreading his word is what is annoying me and the fact that he seems to be unhappy with the result.

I am happy they finally did the recall...have you contacted the media? As for the mother who is getting the replacement parts I dont know if that would be good enough for me? I think I would try to maybe get a refund or a total replacement???? JMHO

in the report they noted 85 complaints.
When I reported this Bassett's Vice Pres. told me there were absolutely no others but mine.... This situation was the first he had heard.
They said the bolts were coming loose ( I guess you can interpret that different ways) but my baby pushed the bolt and the anchor holding it in the wood out. It did not unscrew.
They are making it seem lesser than it was.
And yes in the beginning I was bashing maybe saying some bad things,,,I was ****** off.
This crib could have killed my baby.

I heard the voluntary recall this am. Just to clear this up a little, 85 complaints were made about the bolts coming loose but ONLY 1 complaint about a child's hand/fingers getting stuck was made which I believe is this posters' daughter, Abigail.
I'm glad the recall was done before more children got hurt and I'm sorry your daughter was the one to get hurt.

I'm aware of that. The OP said when he called he was told there were NO complaints about this crib and his was the first they heard. I was saying that maybe Bassett stretched the truth in order to get the CPSC to post the recall?

Im actually having to fight with this company to get a new crib or my money back!!! They are telling me i have to try the replacement parts first and if unhappy then i can return. I said so i have to risk my babys' life first and then if something happens to her you will take the crib back?
Am I the only person to find this utterly ridiculous. The lady said she has to speak with her supervisor and will call me back. Then I call BRU who we got crib from and they said since its past 90 days they cant help.. I asked so you have a time limit on RECALLED ITEMS??? again got, hmm let me speak with my representative and get back to you. I have such a pit in my stomach its horrible.
ETA: I know if they wont give me new crib or money back, as soon as i get parts im calling them and saying not satisfied thats all.
