August book club
Had a great time last night as usual...I loved the restaurant and I told DH we have to go back.
For August, the meeting is going to be on 8/27 and the book is Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck.

I completely agree about the restaurant. It was a perfect spot and I loved the added treat of seeing Alexandra!

Alex LOVED the book club -- although she felt terrible that she didn't finish the book...
Thank you great ladies for the gifts, and a great night. Did you see that moon driving home???
PS - Alex apparently did all her sleeping while there because when we got home she was wide awake, and then got up at 3am!! Me and my big mouth....

Was the moon driving the convertable????  
Sorry that Alex didn't sleep thru the night. The ending of the book woulda zonked her right out!!!

I am LOVING this book!!! I forgot how much I like Steinbeck's writing, and in his own voice it's even more wry and funny.

DH has had a TON of meetings, so he's always too pooped to listen by the time he gets home.  I'll try to have it at my house.
