August 16th is the official date!

My Dr. has scheduled a c-section for August 16th (baby is breech)...

I can't believe it's coming so soon!!

I'm excited, but there is a part of me that is a bit sad. I feel like it's not supposed to be this clinical...I've lost the element of surprise...

I know that once the baby is here, that will be all that matters, and that comforts me, I just feel a bit of "It's not supposed to happen this way."

Anyone else who is having a scheduled section dealing with simliar feelings??

Because my baby is so big, they told me I'd probably have a c-section. They have not scheduled it yet. There's a part of me that feels cheated. I don't feel like a real mom not having to push and b!tch about my 100 hours in labor. But then I think about those that have adopted. They are real moms. 1 day of pushing doesn't make a real mom. Only love does.

A friend of mine's baby was breached adn they wanted to try to turn her rather than give her a c-section and she decided that if the baby didnt move on her own it was b/c she couldnt so she said no to try and turn the baby and that she wanted a c-section and thank GOD that she did that b/c the cord was wrapped around the baby twice and if they would have tried to turn her who knows what would have happend. So I look at it this way if the baby doesnt turn its b/c it probably cant and you would rather have the c-section then have something wrong with your child.
