Maybe 12 yrs old - and that's only if he will be in after school activities where he may need to reach one of us - but even then I'm getting one like the Disney phone that I can set the settings and monitor it, once he's 16 then he gets his own, IMO. Of course this will change (and I don't mean he'd get one sooner!) depending on the situation once he hits that age - we got a decade to go still! But anything before then, no way.
