At what age can you start taking your kids to shows?

Disney on Ice is coming to our area next week and I was thinking about getting tickets to take DD. However, she would only be 14 months. We don't let her watch much TV at all so she has no idea who these characters are and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to take her? Will she get bored within minutes?

For those that have taken their kids, what was the experience like?

I think it depends on the child. I know for Elmo , kids my sons age went, but MY son wouldnt have sat there EVER. He just doesnt have that kind of attention span. Hes 16 months .

I think at 14 months Emma sat better than she does now at 18 months. They do have $17 opening night tickets so maybe you could do that in case it doesn't work out you haven't sent a small fortune?

Oh,and DD doesn't watch a lot of TV at all either, but we have a ton of books with characters so I think that's how she REALLY knows of them. So maybe get a few Disney board books!
