Approx. how fast do you drive on the highways?

I normally try not to break 70 so as not to get a ticket. At night I go much slower, but during the day I go about 65-70.

It really depends where. The Belt between the V. Bridge and the Gowanus is ripe with cops waiting to pull you over. I cruise control at 50 on that stretch. I try not to go over 65. I used to drive way too fast. I am a lot more controlled now.

The highways around here speed limit is 70, but you can get away with driving 80. About 90% of all the drivers on I-75 do about 80. Sometimes that isn't fast enough for a few lead footers.
I try to stick between 70 - 75

I take a huge speed trap to work (sunrise highway eastbound), so I don't go over 65. Besides, I heard that going past 65 isn't good for gas mileage or something like that. The idea of flinging my body at speeds higher than that does not thrill me either, especially w/ the ever growing deer population out east. You don't save much time going faster than that anyway.

Ever since having Ava, like 65 when she's in the car and no more than 70 when she's not in the car. I used to drive like 80, easily, before I had a baby.

so then for my 60 mile trip to work, i save about 10 minutes  i've always had a lead foot, and with a 60 mile commute, i don't have time to dilly-dally

I don't think many of the people who speed do it to save time; I think it's for the rush, or because they can.
I try not to ever do more than 65, less if DD is in the car.

70, sometimes more With Steven in the car, I try not to go over 70. i try. I just don't have patience for anything under 65 on an open highway.

I'm a nerd and I set the cruise control on the speed limit when I'm on long trips.
I got pulled over once and NEVER want to get that ticket again.
If anything I only go 5 miles above the speed limit when driving normally.

This is going to sound weird but I prefer driving in the left lane because I don't like being surrounded by other cars or having to merge with people. Unless it's not that congested and then I'm in the middle lane.
So in order to drive in the left lane, I have to keep up with the rest of the speeders.
So I'm a speeder by association.  But I usually don't go over 75.

Depending on where I am. In NY, I will not go over 70, 72 at the most.
When I am travelling to see my parents, I set the cruise control anywhere from 72-75.
