Yes. She goes into it in her book. Totally. They were really made at her for questioning TOm and about Shelly. She has been in it since she was like 10 or 12. So she went up the ranks.

I was interested, but the episodes are too long for me. I was wondering if the top celebrities are treated the same way as the people in these stories. I would think they aren't, because they would then want to leave. Did Leah say she had to be interrogated?
She talked about it a bit in the last episode (the one with the twins). I'm sure people like Travolta and Tom Cruise get the special treatment, but she said that she spent *all* her vacation time from "King of Queens" working for SeaOrg. She was jealous that people would use the break to take trips and she was stuck at headquarters. In addition to all her time off, she also had to work a minimum of 2 hours each day for the organization.
I'm sure none of the celebs are abused like the people in the stories (especially being beaten up by Miscavich), but SeaOrg takes a huge chunk of their money for every little thing (everytime a new book comes out or a new edition, they're required to buy the whole set, all the money for the audits, etc).

It's just so bizarre.
What exactly has Scientology done for the good of the World and for mankind ?
It's scary that this "religion" does not let you leave, brainwashes your family to turn against you if you do, and doesn't teach any real skills or give you an education to survive in the outside world.
That the compounds look like prisons is so beyond odd. I've never seen a church or temple surrounded by barbed wire to keep the people in

I'm totally obsessed with this too. Read her book last year. As a funny aside, I watch the soap General Hospital-----the name of the insane asylum is Miscaviage, and yes, it's after him!

Do you have FIOS? Because on my it shows up if I do A&E HD but not the regular A&E

I found it hysterical in the last episode when the guy was talking about his neighbor who did not want to disconnect from the family's dog because the dog wouldn't understand what is happening.
I just shake my head at everything. It is crazy what these people believe.

DH and I had to stop the DVR because we were laughing so hard.
This is a "religion" based on fear, paranoia, punishment, money.
No one ever talks about enlightenment or personal enrichment.

I read an article about it a few years ago. I laugh whenever they go see Heather at Miscavaige...the " Church" must know about it and I'm sure it makes them insane, no pun intended!

It's really not bizarre at all when you realize this group is not a "religion." It is the very definition of a cult.

I have been following loosely, but watched last night. For some reason the fact that Leah is getting paid to expose them hit a sore spot with me last night.
I dont know why that information caused me to doubt her reasoning for doing this.
When she said "i dont work for free" unless I misunderstood I took it for exposing them.

We cant get over how hilarious the promotional videos are or that they created a religion that makes people wear nautical outfits. So bizarre.
Did anyone watch 20/20 the other night? The interview with Leah was so awkward.

I have been watching it too. I cant believes how many times they get followed, or tracking devices on cars, cameras in bird house, the people waiting in the lobby. Its just really crazy. I am all caught up and can not wait for the new one to air. Its shocking to me what they do to people. Even shocking that families are broken up and they don't see any wrong it in.

And the episode with the woman who's son was still in the "church" and he passed away, they would not let her see his body in the funeral home. I was crying for that poor woman.
How do they not see anything wrong with this?
