Anyone remodel a TINY bathroom?- Uodate with pic
We need to redo a 5x7 bathroom on a budget.
Anyone have any suggestions? Pics to guide me?
Please help!
This is the only pic I have of the "before" from MLS
They have the curtain closed and you can't see the horrendous floor.
At least you get an idea of the size though

Yes- the plumbing is all there- just need new fixtures (changing a tub to a stand in shower), walls, tiling.

Check out Below Whole Sale Flooring in Lindenhurst on Hoffman by the RR and right near Wellwood. They have pretty good prices. You really have to look around, but they have an ok select and good prices. They get different stock in I think. You have to look around the large warehouse, but I think it's worth it. We are going to go there for floor tile for our Laundry Room. We have already bought cheap laminate flooring from them for our rental. As for everything else, I'm not sure where the good prices are. Wait for sales, watch the Lowe's & HD papers too.  GL! Cant' wait to see what you are going to do.

What do you need to do with the walls? Do you have walls where the tiling is halfway up them?

The walls are wall papered- but the sheetrock is rotting around the tub- so I'm assuming we need new sheetrocking
The tub has some kind of plastic surround that is just stuck to the walls.
I'll take pics later to post

we are in the middle of remodeling our very small bathroom too.. and cheap!
so we ripped down all the wall paper.. and we are just painting the walls.
got a new vanity.. one that is all put together already.. the granite and sink. ($200 ) for that! score!
we are getting a new toiled and medicine cabinet.
we are leaving the tile floor because they are not that bad.. there are some chips in it.. and the shower and tub area we are leaving as well..
but just the other stuff alone will make such a huge difference.

I've seen really small bathrooms painted a very dark color like navy blue or even black. Making them sort of like cozy nooks. If you can do it I would get a claw foot tub to open up that space. Or you can go very light to make it seem bigger. maybe pale grey with a white cieling.
