Anyone know if/why my vendor post got pulled?
Someone asked me why it got pulled and I searched it and could not find it. Pretty ironic.

it didnt get ugly at all, in fact I think it was civil with a lot of good suggestions that would help find a happy medium.
OK - so apparently the new rule is - just so Im clear - no even using the word vendor, unless it is followed by sentences containing the following: unicorns, rainbows and puppy dogs?
Do I have that right?

Wow. I'm mostly a lurker these days but i saw that post and agreed with many of the suggestions. A rating system would especially be great so that people have a more well-rounded perspective of vendors.
And, I'm a paying vendor on LIW.

Its nice to know that a vendor feels this way. Like I said before its not about bashing anyone, its just about a honest info to help members make informed desicions. I think the majority of vendors are wonderful and will get the reviews they deserve. And if there are any downsides to certains vendors, they will be shared as well.

this site often makes me   and  ...totally ridiculous..
anyway, youd think, as a vendor, you would APPRECIATE the fact that people are being honest about your company..first so you could fix things, and second so that you could always make sure to "stay in line" and keep your head focused on customer satisfaction which sometimes is lost when you get so busy..
Ive only been extremely aggravated on here at one LIF vendor, and i just decided not to use them..end of story..
but, i didnt even think to post it because of what the OP said in her last thread..
either it wouldve been pulled, "friends" wouldve jumped to defense, and it never would have been rectified anyway..
pretty sad its so one way like that.
I understand they pay to advertise here, but why call it a testimonial if you cant really give one?

If you mention the name of the vendor, or what kind of vendor, or the mere fact that they are a LIF vendor - then yes, it will be pulled. (and if the vendor in question is also a poster, then it will get pulled faster than usual).
If you ask a general question such as . . . how long should I wait to receive a phone call about services I requested before calling someone else, then no. Of course, you won't get any true sense of what the correct time frame is that way, but your thread won't get pulled.
ETA:
To the OP, yes your thread was pulled. No, it did not deteriorate the way some other threads on the subject have.

I definately think a rating system would be a great benefit to both the consumer and to the vendor....As a PP said, it would let the vendor know how they could improve their business to satisfy their clients better...Even if they implemented some sort of a system similar to what E-bay uses that gives the vendor a designated period of time to solve a dispute before negative feedback was posted in a designated forum about the company....What company wouldn't want that ?
ETA- It would just be a shame for the vendors who are truly dedicated to customer satisfaction to suffer because of a few bad apples...This board is a great opportunity for both the consumers and vendor...It seems like many are becoming soured to the idea of using vendors on the site because of the current circumstances ..
