Anyone have a sample resignation letter
for not returning to your job after your maternity leave? I need to write one ASAP and don't know what I should include in it. Thanks!

Please accept this letter as my formal notice of resignation from XYZ, effective June X, 2006.. I have decided not to return to work after my maternity leave.
The associations I've made during my employment here will truly be memorable for years to come.
I want to thank you for everything you have done for me during my tenure with XYZ. It has been a pleasure working with you and your staff over the years, especially (name names if you want). I will also miss the dedicated and knowledgeable staff. It has been an honor working with them.
I wish you and XYZ continued success in the years to come

Hi, I was thinking about resigning from my job as well - due to go back next week. Can I ask you if your company paid you the difference in your salary while you were out ?
Mine did and I don't know if I am obligated to go back to work bc of that. I just feel like I owe them something.

every company is different so it's hard o say what will happen. do you have a contract or anything in writing? i only got paid for the few sick days i had left, but my job pays for all of my health insurance. i hope i don't owe them anything.

I know with my company - anything I owed them while they paid my insurance - I used my sick days to balance it out.
