Anyone have a corner sink in the kitchen?
It wasn't our first choice but that's where it ended up. My question is actually about the cabinets next to the sink cabinet - are you able to open the doors and drawers of those cabinets while standing at the sink or do you have to move to the other side? We are trying to figure out the placement of the trash cans inside a cabinet and if I can't open the cabinet while at the sink they'll have to be moved. Thanks!

my mom has a corner sink and it's kind of annoying because her garbage bins and cutlery drawer are on either side of it. so if someone is at the sink, they constantly have to move for someone else to get to the garbage or cutlery.
But that being sad, it's not a huge hassle in the scheme of things.

I do.
Cabinets above sink and to left. they open the left.
No hassle.
I also have garbage to left side cabinets which is underneath and no one has to bother me to get to it.

My parents house is the same layout as Smileyd's. They have to lean a bit to get into the drawers. Not a big hassle though.

We have a corner sink and I have no trouble with it at all, never gave it a second thought! There is a a pic in my album, the sink is stainless steel now also!

We have a corner sink. We can open the small drawer next to the sink on the left, but have ti move to get to the right drawer.
We keep the garbage can under the sink and we take it out when we do dishes sink we empty it afterwards anyways.

We have one and I hate it. It's not in the corner of the room, but at the a corner near my peninsula.
I can't reach the cabinets above it and I keep the stuff I don't use that often. When we eventually re-do our kitchen in around 5 years or so, I want to try to change that,

I have a corner sink. on the right side you can open the cabinet with no problem, but on the left side there are drawers that you'd have to move out of the way to open. it's never bothered me though.

I had one in my old house... small kitchen.
We redid the kitchen and sold the house 7 months later. I had no problem opening the cabinets... I think I had a pull out garbage pail under the sink. I know it wasn't free standing in the room. Image Attachment(s):

We have a corner sink and there is no problem opening the cabinet to the right of it but I don't put anything in the cabinet right below the sink. I find the worst part about it is the corner cabinet about the sink- it is such an odd shape and hard to get things out of.

We actually recently renovated and I opted to move the sink to the corner to optimize counter space. You do have to move over a bit to open the drawer nearby - but it hasn't really been an issue for us - it's a fairly small kitchen anyway so someone was going to move at some point.
