Re: Anyone have a chocolate fondue recipe?

this is my favorite..tastes like a almond joy

chocolate and coconut cream fondue
serves 8

Biscotti would be great for dipping, too.

1 15-ounce can sweetened cream of coconut (such as Coco López)
12 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon coconut extract
Assorted fresh fruit (such as whole strawberries, 1-inch-thick slices banana, 1-inch cubes peeled cored pineapple, and tangerine segments)

Combine sweetened cream of coconut and 12 ounces chocolate in heavy large saucepan. Stir mixture over very low heat until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Stir in whipping cream and extract. (Fondue can be prepared 8 hours ahead. Cover; store at room temperature. Stir over low heat to rewarm before serving.)
Transfer mixture to fondue pot. Place over candle or canned heat burner. Serve with fruit for dipping.

regular chocolate fondue

chocolate fondue

Makes 4-6 servings.

1 cup premium cocoa powder (Valrohna or Scharffen Berger), sifted
1 1/4 cups spring water
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup plus 5 tablespoons heavy cream
5 ounces 62% Scharffen Berger (premium semi-sweet chocolate), chopped
Pound cake and fruit (such as bananas, apples, strawberries, and plums), cut into bite sized pieces

Sift the cocoa into mixing bowl and set aside. Place the water, sugar, and corn syrup into a pot and bring to boil. Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes until sugar solution has reduced by about 30%. Pour the cocoa powder into the solution and blend with a whisk until smooth. Return the chocolate mixture to the stove and continue cooking over medium heat. Add heavy cream, bring to boil and allow to simmer for five minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in chopped chocolate. Pour into fondue pot and keep warm.

Re: Anyone have a chocolate fondue recipe?

here's one I use

Chocolate-Caramel Fondue
Ingredients:
1 14-ounce can (1-1/4 cups) sweetened condensed milk
1 12- to 12-1/2-ounce container caramel ice cream topping
9 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped, or 1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate pieces
Assorted dippers, such as angel food or pound cake cubes, large marshmallows, dried apricots, or fresh fruit including strawberries, banana slices, and/or pineapple chunks
Milk
Directions:
1. In a 1-1/2-quart slow cooker stir together sweetened condensed milk, ice cream topping, and chocolate.
2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting, if available, for 2 hours. Stir until mixture is smooth. Serve immediately or keep warm, covered, on low-heat setting for up to 1 hour (chocolate mixture will become grainy if held longer).
3. To serve, spear dippers with fondue forks. Dip into chocolate mixture, swirling as you dip. If the mixture thickens, stir in a little warm milk to make fondue of desired consistency. Makes 12 servings (3-1/4 cups).
