Anyone get very early internal sono?

I amd 5 weeks 2 days. They were able to see the gestational sac. I don't think they saw anything else. They said, "It's what we expected to find at this point" But, I know a yolk sac may be seen this early on. Did anyone ever have an early sono and only see the sac at this point? I'm getting concerned, though they didn't seem to be.

Re: Anyone get very early internal sono?

I had one at 5w, 6 d. I forget what we saw, but this is the reason most OBs won't even see you until you're around 8 weeks. Because if you don't see what you want, you get nervous and start to worry when in reality there is most likely nothing to worry about. Everything is probably fine it was just a few days too early. Remember every pregnancy is different, just because something CAN be seen that early, doesn't mean it will be in everyone. Some people don't see a thing until after 6 weeks. 5 weeks 2 days is still very early. Hang in there! Chat Icon

Re: Anyone get very early internal sono?

I got pregnant through IVF, so I had sono's very early on starting at 5w2d.

At 5w2d we only saw the sac and nothing else. Since I was being monitored so closely by the RE, the had me come back 2 days later and both the yolk sac and fetal pole were there. So just a matter of days can make a huge difference.

samething for me I was 5 weeks and I wanna say 3 days. My RE had me come back 4 days after and we saw the yolk sac and fetal pole. I was amazed what a few days did.

I had an internal at 5w1d (by measurements) and all they saw was the gest sac as well.

Re: Anyone get very early internal sono?

They did an internal sono at my confirmation visit (six weeks 4 days) because I told dr. that I bled one day after conception. 6w4d sono pic is in my baby album. There was a sac, yolk sac and heartbeat flicker. You will be surprised how much every day means in the very beginning. Your next appt. you will see a world of change!

I had an internal at 6 weeks and they saw nothing. I went back in a week later and they saw the sac, the pole, and found a heartbeat. When you're in those early stages, a week can make a huge difference. Try not to be too concerned cause it's completely normal.
