Did anyone do a 3d/4d Sono early on

There is a place in BK that I know ppl that have gone to as early as 16 weeks, they tell you the gender and you get pics etc for like 99 bucks, anyone do it that early on, and is it worth it????

i wouldn't do it that early... IMO, the baby looks so weird that early, b/c it is so skinny (babies don't sstart to gain weight until the end of the second tri really).

but it's totally personal preference - i just happen to think the pics look better when you wait until later on. Chat Icon

I agree...I am doing it at 28 weeks, the baby should have some good chubbiness on it by then.

I just want the gender controversy to be over, and to think I need to wait two more months is going to kill me...bc I totally think our sono tech was talking out of his azz at 12 weeks...and I have no patience if you hadn't noticed. The package also lets you come back later on for a second one....What do you think?

If you want to do it, then do it, but I think at 16 weeks, they can still be wrong. I think that is partially the reason that they have you wait till around 20 weeks.

Sorry, I'm going to be of no help to convince you to go, we are waiting till birth to find out.Chat Icon

They say after 16 weeks they are 100 percent and they will allow me to come back a few weeks later to reconfirm....Chat Icon

Then go for it if you really want to do it!

They cynical side of me just thought, if they are 100% sure at 16 weeks...why the need to reconfirm a couple of weeks later. But ignore me, i'm just picking it apart.

I say go for it if you want to go!

I know I thought the same thing, but I'm the most impatient person in the world and my desire to know exceeds my level headedness....

not worth it, the tech did it for me at about 15 weeks, the baby was SCARY looking. Anyone that i've shown the pictures to has said "umm, is everything allright with them? "
one baby was also not in a position to even see what sex they were.
