I only did it b/c it was a gift. I was miserable and never even did anything with the pics. I was 10 days pp, recovering from 40+ hours of labor and a c-sect and really didn't want a stranger in my house telling me when and how to feed my baby for her "poses"
I hate those forced pose shots and she wasn't even that good at it, didn't get a few special shots I asked for b/c the baby got cranky. So if we ever get #2, def. NOT going to get a nb session!

Not really sure yet actually. This is my last baby and Id kind of like to do them. Gonna give it another few weeks to make my decision.

I feel that it's not something Im ever going to regret doing. But I might regret not doing them.

We have a really good camera too. We both know how to use it. But nothing can compare to hiring a professional photographer.

I didn't get them with DS and I'm not getting them this time.

I don't plan to, I just don't think I can afford that extra expense.

I did not do have professional photos taken because DH objected to it. I still regret it - not all the time - but sometimes I think wow that would have been nice. I did have a one year photo shoot at the picture people and we now do it every year for our holiday card. DH is finally on board with it. FWIW I do not know anyone IRL who has had professional newborn photos taken.

I didnt do a newborn shoot with my DS and I wont with baby # 2 either.

I dont like the style of these shoots.

I did hospital pics of my DD's and the next one we're probably going to do a low key newborn shoot, more natural, and make sure to get pics of my DD's in there also.

It's def a big thing here in LIF-land but I feel like the craze is catching on & a lot of people are starting to do them.
I'd LOVE to use who I did for DD but it's 2 yrs later & her prices have more than doubled & I just can't spend that much on photos. Her work is amazing & I did sorta feel like I was getting her for free last time.
My sister is a photog but does not shoot newborns...but she will be shooting mine. I'm def bummed I know they won't be as good as DD's but I'll take what I can get.
