Anyone else hear about the nys tax rebate coming at the end of the month?
I read about a tax refund for people who had a kid 17 and under in 2012 and a separate refund if your school district stood under the tax cap.
Haven't heard any people talking about it or seem it on the new. Last story I can find was I think published in August.
Any one else hear about it. Is it really happening. Anyway to confirm you qualify or you just have to wait to see if you get a check?

I got an email from NYS saying that I will be getting a check on the 24th..I assume it has to do with this.

That's bull crap. YOU have a kid so YOU get tax relief? How about the 12k+ a year I spend on school taxes AND I DONT HAVE A KID.

There 2 different rebates going on one $350 for families I guess with children and a different for property tax if your school stood under the cap. That amount varies and I am not sure how that works but I read whatever extra you paid in taxes you will get back so if it was $50 you get $50.
And thanks for the info from everyone else at least I know now it's legit

What is Form IT-201-Att?! You need its numbers to find out if you qualify but I dont have one filed in my 2012 taxes! I hope this doesn't mean I automatically do not qualify!

I spoke to my accountant about this and he said that at some point we should also see a rebate check for the 2013 tax year because in 2014, 2015 and 2016, the deduction will take place in our tax returns

i didnt get an email but i should qualify!!
i didn't get an email either but when I think about it I am not sure how they would have my email address. I don't file my own taxes so they wouldn't have my email that way.

does anyone know which address they would send the check to if you qualify?
we get our rebates through direct deposit. we have moved since 2012, so would it go to the old address or do you think they would have updated based on our 2013 taxes?
i didn't get any emails so not sure if we qualify, but here's hoping!
