I'm "coming out" this week if all goes well tomorrow at our 12 week sono... and honestly, i feel like if people ask me if it were planned I won't necessarily be bothered by it... I guess time will tell!

No one has asked me that at all.
I think because I was pregnant for almost 3 months and had a mc... and everyone pretty much knew about that... so they probably figure we were trying or they know we were trying.
The first time I got preg... no one asked me then either... at least not that I remember. We got pregnant that time on the HM.

Have not been asked. We are married two yrs so I guess people assume we planned it and were ready.
I find this question to be incredibly rude and would never ask it. WHat difference does it make and WHY is it my business to ask??
ETA: I would come back with a smartass remark is someone asked me this though fo sho!

Only one of DH's friend's asked us that, and he was just honest and said no lol. My family knew it wasn't, but didn't go out of their way to point it out.
What bothers me a little bit more is people constantly asking if I'm feeling the baby, and when I answer not really, or not consistently, they pull a face and say something must be wrong.

I haven't been asked this. I had the opposite of people asking me constantly if we're having kids yet. For the entire year (or more) before I did get pregnant whenever I didn't feel well (even if it was obviously a cold or bronchitis or something), if I said I wasn't feeling well, they would be like oh are you pregnant? Last I checked, bronchitis wasn't a pregnancy symptom!

We are not "out" yet, but I am sure this will be a shock to no one. We are an old married couple Two days after the wedding, people started asking "So when are the babies coming ...your not getting any younger !?!" ( i was 32) People can be so

I got this a lot from strangers and I would respond with "Were your children planned?" That normally switched topics. The one I HATED the most was "When are you going to have a baby?" We struggled for awhile and had a m/c so people were anxious for us. Most people I would just say we're still trying, but some were just rude....to that I would say "So how's YOUR sex life?" It's rude, but just as rude IMHO as what they were asking me. At some point I couldn't take it any longer. I also hated the "About time" from my family. Like I said we had a m/c so when peole said that I would just walk away. Not say anything....just walk away. They got the point

yes, I get this a lot, I guess because people are wondering if im sane going for baby # 4.
it doesnt bother me as much as "Trying for that girl huh ?" (its my 4th boy)..
this question drives me nutsssssssss.
for the record: nope, not going for the girl at all.

I love some of your answers! It's gotten to the point where if we tell someone and they DONT ask if it was planned we get excited.  Maybe next time we get that we will use one of the snide responses
