Re: anyone do Isagenix?

My husband did it before we went on vacation. He lost a pound a day for the 2 weeks he was on it. We went away for 5 days, he was up 14 lbs. when we got home.

I feel like it's a good Quick Start to a diet, but only if you then eat the right amount of calories and exercise to keep going once you start.

He said the drinks were nasty and he felt like puking every time he drank them. Chat Icon But it was worth it for him to drop the weight b4 vacay

Re: anyone do Isagenix?

I tried Isagenix - lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks but put it back on again slowly as I returned to eating food.
For me it was a lesson that these quick fix diets are not worth the money and time of deprivation.
If you just need to lose some weight quickly for an event or vacation it'll work but is pretty torturous to do. Nothing on the program tastes good. I tried to do it again a couple of years later but just couldn't bring myself to start.

Me too…it also isn't a diet. It really is a life style change. All the products works together to get better results.

For the month of August, I got wasn't doing the system, I was just in a funk but, I did watch what I was eating and I kept the 10lbs off. A friend of mine went on a cruise and made right choices and came back gaining a 1.5lbs, which was gone by one week of being home. So I really don't bby that people miracously put weight on when they stop or go on vacation. Naturally on vacation, you may eat more aand maybe drink more, but you can still make right choices for meals.

Anything in life that offers results will stop if you stop doing the work. You wouldn't go to the gym, work hard for a six pack and stop and expect it to be there later on.

When you say 'returned to eating food' - what kind of food are you talking about ?

ANYTHING you do, whether it's a 'quick fix' thing, or WW, or increasing your workouts - they are ALL going to work b/c you're changing your habits .........and if you stop, and go back to your previouis habits, well, then you're going to gain it back.

I did a 30 day full clean eating cleanse system the first time - No red meat, no bread, no alcohol, no sugar etc - I lost 17 lbs in 30 days ........
I have pretty much kept it off - Even with going on 2 vacations this summer, drinking etc ........I have found that if I maintain the basic princpals of my new 'diet' (Lifestyle) and only occasionally have that Italian bread that I adore, or the cheeseburger, or ice cream or whatever ........the weight stays off. I don't gain 5 lbs after one night of margaritas and guacamole !! - but after that night, I'm back to my regular (new) eating habits .........

For me, the products work. And I personally like the convenience, so the price is worth it to me. And honestly, if I were buying breakfast and lunch 5x a week in the city, I'd be spending triple !

I'm on a second 30 day now - hardcore again, to hopefully lose another 10+ lbs

No, they need to be consumed 10-15 minutes from mixed because of the digestive enzymes in it.

I don't blend mine, I use the shaker. Takes a few shakes and that's it. If you start with the presidents pack it come with a small nutra bullet style blender and you could keep it at work.
I actually have the 8oz. Bottles of water and will throw that in my bag, then measure out the powder in the shaker. Done!

Re: anyone do Isagenix?

I bought the blender bottles from Target - I like them much better than the Isa shaker bottle ........(thankfully I got mine for free b/c they fell apart)

$8 @ target w/ that little silver ball that looks like a whisk - I actually prefer the shakes mixed that way to the blender.

Re: anyone do Isagenix?

I lost 9 lbs the first week.

I'm not sure which program you're doing or if you have signed on with a 'coach' - but if you inocorporate the Cleanse for Life into your program, it will DEFINIETLY help (it's basically a 2 day juice cleanse) if you do a 30 day system, you do it twice ......

This.

You still need to eat on the program and every 3 hours or so. You want your meals to be between 400-600 calories. Your snacks should be between 100-200. Lots of water too. I have a hard time with water intake and there is a free app called water logged that helps you track it. There is a few ways you have your second shake.
1.) split it up, so you are supposed to use 2 scoops with the 8oz. of water. Use the shake as a snack and use 1 scoop and 8oz. of water. Have an apple or maybe a 10 almonds with it. Then you have a balanced lunch. I like egg white omelet. I just add orange peppers. The only dairy I have is 2 slices of cheese in it. You can do a salad with grilled chicken and some balsamic vinegar. I you get a chance to buy the whey thins in Ranch you can add them to the salad like croutons.

2.) Have a large lunch, what your dinner might be then have a shake has your dinner.

3.) Have the shake for dinner, but instead of one large meal, take that meal and split it up into 2 portions and then eat it 2.5-3 hours apart.

If you are going to do cleanses you need to drink a gallon of water of day, the day of cleanses and the day before. Pre-sort everything you will need for the cleanse days and label the times. Use the Isadelights if you can. I have done the 2 day cleanse and 1 day. 2 Days are so much better and I feel so much more energized on day 3. When you break the cleanse you must do it with a shake. So that is the first thing you will drink .

If you are working out, light workout or cardio on cleanse days, something like a brisk walk or yoga. On shake days, you need to replenish some of the calories otherwise you will be deficient for the day.

Re: anyone do Isagenix?

No flames, but someone I know added me to their "group" once.

I swear they sounded like they were in a cult and many of them I personally feel based on behavior had an eating disorder.

If I'm going to do a lifestyle change to lose weight, I wouldn't go this route.

I'd rather spend the $$$ on real, healthy food.

Who did you purchase from? You're supposed to have a 'coach' - someone to guide you and help you answer questtions etc - I don't like that you spent all of this money and have no idea how to use the products - Chat Icon You're going to A. be miserable and hungry and B. have wasted your money b/c it's not going to work properly

I agree with you Marisa! I see it a lot. No guidance, people get confused and then give up. Then they say they spent all this money and it didn't work, but in reality whoever signed them up, failed them.

anyone do Isagenix?

Hi, I agree with Marisa. If you ordered your package you should be assigned a coach, usually the person you signed up under. I've been on the program since August and have lost 16lbs and 13 inches. I'm also a coach and help my cleansers 100% of the way. I love love love the convenience of the program and it has helped me adapt to a new healthy eating lifestyle. Yes I do cheat here and there as life gets in the way and I have 2 kids but I now make smarter food choices and get right back on it my very next meal. I no longer feel like I've "ruined my diet" if I had a bad meal and then sabatage the rest of my day by binge eating. I have a new outlook on food and love the plan.
Sorry to the person that ordered a package and was left high and dry to figure it out, that shouldn't happen. If you're willing to give nutritional cleansing a try it really does work and I would love to help.

anyone do Isagenix?

I used the products about ten years ago mostly as a cleanse. DH and I started in February of this year using the 30 day system. We already eat organic, local, etc but were eating too much. I lost 28lbs and I'm wearing size 8 that is getting loose down from a tight size 12. My DH lost 55lbs and has more energy than he has ever had.
I love the shakes, I make them in the isablender which is basically a magic bullet. I eat a bar for lunch which is super convenient and I love they way they taste and I eat a couple of healthy snacks. I travel a lot for business and often have dinner meetings so I eat "real food" regularly but I'm still losing weight. I'm not going to be a weirdo that drinks a shake at a dinner.
I eat more than the suggested daily calories at this point but I'm still slowing losing weight and inches.
I think switching the oils we use, eliminating most dairy ( butter, cow milk, cheap cheese), wheat, caffeine and almost completely eliminating gluten has made a really big difference.
I do the daily cleanse instead of the deep cleanse so I don't fast.
The thing that I love about isagenix is the protein, it's so much easier to burn fat when you're running on protein.
I have an amazing coach that is supportive and knowledgable which makes a big difference.
I believe almost any program will work when followed consistently, it's just a matter of finding one that works for you.

Re: anyone do Isagenix?

I'm starting the 30 day cleanse 10/28. I know it will be tough. I have a coach I know and all, I'm just not sure what you do after the 30 day. If I have more weight to lose, do I just do another? Or do shakes for 2 meals and eat healthy a third, but not do the cleanse days?
It is pricey, but sounds worth it. I just don't want to join something that automatically charges me every month, or anything.
