Anybody else watch all of the specials on about JonBenet Ramsey?
Everyone seems to be pointing to the older brother. I watched the Dr. Phil specials last week. There is something off with Burke. He smiled the entire time, even when they were talking about when his father carried the dead body of his little sister into the living room. It was creepy. I don't know what to believe anymore, but I just feel so bad that that poor baby was murdered and died such a scary and painful death. And 20 years later, she still doesn't have justice.

I watched the CBS two part special and it was really fascinating. I think the team did a really good job with explaining the forensic evidence, re-enactments, and interviewing people that were involved in the initial investigation. I really believe the brother killed JonBenet and the parents covered it up. I do think it was an accidental killing but he does have some mental issues that the parents were aware of. It's just very sad that that it's been 20 years and the case still remains unsolved.

I watched the the a&e special which really made it seem like it was an intruder. Jon ramsey was interviewed so obviously it was skewed to keep him happy. The CBS special really does such different information and I feel like the first one must have flat out lied about things like the dad disappearing that day being untrue. It really sticks that no one was found responsible. The brother being the killer and parents covering it upis the only thing that remotely makes sense. I just don't understand why the parents had so much control over the DA. I need to finish the ID series and see if that lines up with the cbs theory.

Yes, and every time i watch a different special I think it was someone different! Does anyone remember when the creepy man came out in the media confessing to her murder with crazy details?! None of the specials have mentioned him.

I think it was Burke and the parents covered it up. The evidence seems to support that theory best and honestly there is something mentally wrong with Burke, it's obvious in recent and past interviews. Nothing else makes sense.

I too think it was Burke (accidental) and the parents covered it up. The 911 tape indicates another voice in the background, that they say sounds like Burke. But yet the parents (and he) say that he was in bed.

I feel like the way she was killed and the way she was tied up and stuffed in the basement...a 9 yr old would not be capable of that. He was like a tiny string bean in photos. Unless the parents helped to tie up and hide their dead child's body??
Also, I do think there was something off about the brother, but if you think about his life for the past 20 years I can't imagine he would grow up to be very normal. His sister is dead, his family was under constant scrutiny, his mother has since died... That is tough for a young kid.

Well if it was the Burke/parents theory, they supposedly wanted it to look as though there was an intruder so that is why she would of been tied and hidden

I've been watching all the different specials and I'm hearing conflicting information. For example, Dr. Phil said that had the 911 tape enhanced because there were reports that someone else besides Patsy could be heard on it in the background. Dr. Phil confidentally said that after all of his teams' research no one else is on the tape. Meanwhile, the CBS special breaks in down, slows it down, takes out background noise and you can definitely hear other people. They were even able to make out most of what was said.
I definitely think it was someone in the family. I can't decide though if it was Patsy acting alone or Burke accidentally doing it and the parents are covering for him.

I watched the CBS special and also think it's Burke with parents covering up.
And w t h with the grand jury decision and the DA not going forward with prosecuting and misleading the public about their decision? I was in a fit when I heard that! How is that justice? How is it the Feds couldn't do anything? I didn't understand that.
Can someone clarify who watched the CBS special, did they say when the detective came in and told John they wanted to search the house from top to bottom, he all of a sudden ran down to the basement and "found" the body? Is that how you interpreted that? Crazy bananas.
Why can't the Feds do their own investigation and re test DNA etc?

But the only things that stick out in my mind are the samara guy and those coincidences
And the other guy who killed himself right after bc he has those initials on his hat

Yep! That's how I understood it too. Everything just seemed to rehearsed and calculated. The fact that the parents were so resistant to the police and investigators is a major sign. I feel like John paid off a lot of people to just push this under the rug. And the whole crime scene was manipulated by John moving the body.

The theory was that he struck her on the head with a heavy flashlight not outright meaning to kill her. Then the parents, not wanting to basically lose both kids at once, found a way to cover it up by staffing the rest.
I think that seems most likely. It just fits everything. I think the parents didn't know she stole a bite of burkes pineapple which is why it was left out and can't be explained. The one thing that doesn't make sense is why would they leave the flashlight out in the kitchen.

And I think if it was my kid I found in the basement I would have taken the tape of and prob scooped them

Idk. I just hope (for lack of a better word) it was the son/parents cover up bc if it wasn't these poor people have been dragged through he mud for 20 years.
The other two "suspects" always just stuck in my head. Even if it wasn't their dna. They could have had a accomplice
The Santa guy is just too creepy and too many coincidences

he hit her in the past with a golf club and didn't cause major damage so he might have thought hitting her again would end in the same way

And the marks on her body came from the train tracks and not a stun gun. Also the spider web around the window where the "intruder" would've came in and left from was not disturbed and that would've been impossible given the size of the window. It was definitely an inside job and the only other people in that house that night were the parents and the brother. The brother's demeanor in the interviews after the murder was just very odd plus the things he said and didn't say made it seem like he knew a lot more and wasn't sleeping like his parents said he was.

The crazy part was that he was too young to be charged anyway. So if he did it, he's now spending the rest of his life with this lie which has to really need you up rather than having no charges but maybe getting the help he needed. It's unfortunate that his parents may have done all this to "protect" him when it ended up doing the opposite really.

Last night I watched the interview with Burke that took place back then and I heard the CBS commentators' reactions. I'm not saying that it isn't Burke but I didn't completely agree with the commentators. The kid was fidgety and he didn't want to talk about some things. I don't think we can read too much into that but I'm not a psychologist. They made an issue of the fact that he refused to identify the pineapple on the table when he was shown the picture but I think that he really didn't know what that was in the picture. When are there more specials on?
