My son is 4 in January and he is no where near being close to being potty trained. I am not a believer in pushing these things, and I don't see any problems with kids being ready for things at different ages. All kids are different!

Jacob will be 3 in November and has absolutely no interest. He goes through phases of sitting on the potty every morning. Nothing comes out but at least he tries. Lately he doesnt even want to do that. The pediatrician said that he will do it when he is ready. I hope that he is not in diapers forever

DS is 26 months old and shows interest, sort of.
He tells me "pee" and "potty" and runs to the potty and will even take off his pants. However once on it he want to sing (we made a little song to help him along  ) and play with toilet paper. After a few minutes he says "done" and wants to flush. So he's never actually done anything on it.
I'm not pushing it; he does things when he is ready, but I wish he would actually DO something on it since he seems to like it
