Another Spinoff to Mommy friends

I know it's been done before - but since we are talking about it - why don't we say where we are from. If we are SAHM or working moms. If/when we can do GTGS.

That way - you may find that other moms that live so close to you - and you can plan smaller GTGs.

Also, if you go to any playgroups or story groups - post that. It may be good for the moms in the area to find out about.

I'll start.

I live in Seaford and work from home. I will go anywhere in Nassau for a playgroup. I am really free all the time (that makes me sound like a big old loser lol)

I have been going to the Barnes and Noble Storytime every Wednesday at 10:30am (next to Walt Whitman mall)

I will be going to a Mommy and Baby class that starts this Friday at Adelphi with a few other LIF girls. It's VERY inexpensive and a good way to get out of the house - keep the babies busy - and get some mommy chitchat time in also.

I am a working Mom from Malverne.

I would travel anywhere on the weekends for a plyagroup or mom GTG.

I go to a gymnastics class with Andrew on Sat mornings but after that we are open.

During the week I get home around 4:30.

I live in East Northport.
I work P/T a few days a week. I basically set my own schedule.

-I go to our library on Tues. AMs.
-I go to Barnes N Noble on Wednesday AMs (Walt Whitman Mall).
-We also belong to Little Gym in Smithtown. I will be signing DS up for Sat. AM classes.

I am ALWAYS looking to meet new mom's and get out of the house.

I'm a SAHM and live in Hauppauge. I don't belong to any groups yet b/c DS is only 7 weeks old...but I do plan on joining some in the next month or two! I'd also go pretty much anywhere in nassau or suffolk for a GTG.

My son, Thomas, is 6 months old (born April 17, 2007).

We live in Massapequa.

I work full-time in mid-town Manhattan, but I work from home on Fridays.

I would LOVE to attend GTGs. I am available most weekends for GTGs with DS.

I would also be up for mommy GTGs, but those are harder to schedule. I have two step-sons and DH spends a lot of time driving them back and forth from our house back to their mom's, so I'd have to schedule around that so he can watch DS. My parents are in Staten Island and my sister is in New Jersey, so I don't have anyone around to watch DS on a weeknight, but my parent's LOVE to watch DS on weekends as often as possible!!

I am going to the Woodbury Gymboree GTG, and I am really looking forward to meeting people there!! Thomas is too!!

I'm a SAHM from Oceanside!

I go to playdates now, but other mom's are always welcome to meet up with us! I'm free anytime during the week.

l live in forest hillss queens
i can do gtg in queens and nasau
i'll be starting gymboree next month in f.h.

Working mom-F/T, sometimes on weekends, 2nd job.

DD is not in any classes... just in daycare which happens to be at Grandmas.

Can you do things when you work from home on Fridays? You should join the adelphi class. It's from 12:30-2.


I would love to join, but unfortunately, although I can take "lunch" and do something away from home on Fridays, by the time I drive back a forth, I would be gone too long...

I am a working mommy. I work on the east end of LI and live in West Babylon.

I will usually travel for a GTG during the day/weekend. At night I don't like to drive too far so I like to stay local. Since I am on the nassau-suffolk border I will go in either direction.

I haven't done any organized mommy and me classes. I have gone to a lot of GTGs here and met some great moms. I would have loved to form a stronger friendship, however the meetings are very far and very few.


I also feel that I am on the younger side which makes it hard. I am 25.

I live in Farmingdale and I am a FT working mom.

DD is 7 months old.

I am free on Saturdays and some Sundays for GTG's

Working mom from Maspeth, Queens. DS is almost one We go to gym class on Satuday mornings in flushing. I am up for gtgs on the weekends. If one lives in the Maspeth, Middle Village, Glendale area and would like to get together for coffee one night, let me know

DD is 3 months old today and we live in Farmingdale. I think we're going to attempt the Barnes & Noble readings tomorrow
