Another laptop/internet question - Verizon Wireless Access?
If I want to have wireless access in places such as coffee shops / airplanes / hotels, etc. and do not want to connect to their wireless connections; should I purchase one of those modems through Verizon Wireless?
Do I even need to have it?
I'm looking at the Verizon Wirless USB727 Modem...

You'd need to buy an approved card thru your internet vendor of choice. (Vz, Sprint, etc)

You should ask the vendor when you order the service. Think of it just like a cell phone.
Usually when you order it they'll have all the info about what you need, and it comes in a bundle; card + activation $$+ x months service $$.
You could buy it seperately probably, if you feel like comparison shopping.
