A dear friend passed away yesterday..please cherish those you love!
Browneyedgirl posted about it on NFR, but I wanted to post here as well..
Our friend we've known since 9th grade died yesterday morning.
She had Crohn's Disease and struggled for a long time fighting this battle. The hard part of this all is that we didn't know how sick she was and weren't informed she'd been in the hospital for the past 2 months.
She was the type of person to not let people worry when she was very ill, even though we always wanted to know. When we found out it was like a punch in the gut. She was so, so sick and her body gave out.
There has never been a person alive who was more concerned about others than herself..you would never know she was hurting, or suffering...and she was one of the most wonderful angels to touch this earth. I know she is in heaven, and is in a better place...but I can't help to feel so depressed that she didn't get to enjoy all the things we take for granted.
It made me slow down yesterday and be happy that I have a baby who wakes up early from his naps and cries until I make him laugh. She wanted so much to be a mom and a wife, and never got a chance to experience it.
Please tell those you love that you love them, and hug them a little tighter.
Rest in peace Holly, we love you!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a friend unexpectantly about 2 weeks ago as well. It is a shock - and confusing, and I understand how you feel.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You looking at the things to be thankful and happy about in life is a great outlook. We should all remember to be thankful for what we have.

she really was the most gracious, positive, inspiring person i know. regardless of how sick she was, she never let you know it.
i spent all yesterday looking at photos of us together...at my wedding, on a cruise...it brought back so many happy memories and i can't believe we won't be making any more memories together.
tomorrow, her funeral, is going to be one of the hardest things i'll ever have to do. i just hope i get through it in one piece
i love and miss you holly!
