They are saying the brother was the one who said the little boy was in there. Maybe he was mistaken or its a joke. Which would be nuts but atleast the boy would be ok.

I just saw the episode with them a couple of weeks ago - the father was NUTS! They are storm chases and he invents things.
I really hope the brother was mistaken about the little boy being in the baloon or that this is a publicity stunt. Anything but the unthinkable.
