that is where I was born and raised.
my JHS is right across the street from Byrne Park. I cannot tell you how often I played there.
I am from Brooklyn too. This woman and her words ring so true to me, not only in the context of 9/11, but in life.
I too watched the billowing smoke from the Promenade. I wiped the soot off of my dining table, and watched it collect again...for days.
Life continues. And a smile does imbue that idea....of endless possibilities.
