just curious, but what time does your 8 year old go to bed during the week? wake up?

in bed by nine, usually asleep by 10-10:30, up between 7:45 and 8.

In bed between 7:30 and 8:00, and wakes up between 6:30 and 7:00

He gets in bed around 8:15 and reads until 9. Awake by 6:30 usually.

Mine is now 9, but same schedule. In bed by 8:30-9(at the latest), up at around 7:15, as school starts at 8am.

We aim for 8:30, with reading in bed and lights out at 9:15. He wakes himself up at 6:45 am naturally.

She'll be 8 in August but I don't see this changing..

She's in bed by 9pm (latest) but we aim for 8:30-9:30 range
She's up by 6am

ETA: We leave the house at 7am for school but it's less than a 2min drive so she's in school by 7:05 after walking to the door.

Anywhere from 8-9 depending on the night. He's usually up between 6:30 and 7 (we leave for school at 7:30)

In bed 8:30 (later if she wants on weekends) up around 6:45 no matter what.

My DS doesn't get home from sports week nights until about 8:15. He is in bed about 9:15 and falls asleep between 9:15-10. Week days he is up at 7:20 and weekends about 8:30 if he can sleep in. I feel like he is not getting enough sleep at all - I have to drag him out of bed in the morning but, for now, it's the best we can do!

My ds goes to bed 8:30 but doesn't fall asleep until about 9. We wake him up at 7:10 for school.

DD is 7 (almost 8) but bedtime is between 8:15-8:30. She often falls asleep by 9ish. I wake her up around 7:30 but she sometimes wakes up on her own by 7:00.

Between 8:30 and 9:00 pm during the week, a little later on the weekends. Every morning she is up between 6:30 and 7:15.

DS is 7 but I don't see this changing anytime soon.

He's in bed by 8:00 but reads until around 8:45. He's up by 7:15 on school days. Believe it or not, he's awake earlier (like 6:30am) on the weekends.

Lights out at 9, which I think is a little late. I'm trying to move it back to 8:30. We start the process at 7:30- she showers, has a snack, watches tv or does Minecraft, then reads or plays screen-free. But I have a tough time getting her up in the morning- ideally she should be up by 7:15- so I think we should try for earlier. She just turned 9, is in third grade.

Bed around 8:45-9:45 depending on whats happening.

Up between 6:30-7:00 (he just turned 9 but he had the same routine at 8)

school nights 8:30 and he wakes up after 6 (not sure when since I'm already out of the house)

weekends 9:30-10:00 and he usually wakes up at 6:30 -- early riser

Lights are out by 9pm (I prefer 830 but with sports schedules for all the kids 9 is more often the case) and he's up pretty much at 7am on his own most days.
