AC Moore vs. Michael's
Does either one have better prices than the other? Or are they pretty comparable?

It depends. I'm a scrapbooker and I've found that on some items the difference in price is significant. For example the Cricut (an electronic die cutting machine) was at one time $200 more in AC Moore than in Michaels.

AC Moore has Thomas the Tank Engine toys... I don't think Michael's (at least the one by me) does. This is important because these toys are $$$ and it's great to use a 40% or 50% AC Moore coupon on them!

Price wise I think they are pretty similar, but I like them for different things. I prefer the holiday decor items at AC Moore, but for stuff like fake flowers (I use them when wrapping gifts) I prefer Michael's. They seem to have better quality flowers.

Michaels definitely does NOT carry Thomas the Tank Engine toys at all.
AC Moore also carries Melissa & Doug toys - which Michaels does not.

Not by much, but I find Michaels to be cheaper then AC Moore on most items. But it does add up! I usually shop at Michaels and ALWAYS with a coupon!

They're similar. If there's something specific I'm looking for, I'll look for sales and I always print out a coupon. There's always the 40% or 50% off coupons for either store.

i think it all depends on the sale they are having. last week michaels had frames and scrapbook paper 40 % off. when other times ive gone to ac moore and they have their stickers 50 % off.

they are pretty much the same. but AC Moores will take a Michaels coupon and vice versa (i think). Near me, we have Michaels and AC Moore right next to one another..so if i dont find what i need at one, i'll hop over to the other and still use my coupons
