Hi All!
Three years ago, we had a financial situation where we were on the verge of losing our house, were using a food pantry for groceries, and definitely could not afford Christmas for our children. It would have been a "dollar store Christmas" but for the incredible people of LIF. Through the holiday donation drive run by DBJ808, we were able to have an amazing Christmas for our children. When I took over last year, we were able to do provide holiday gifts, clothes, diapers, formula, and other things to 15 LIF children... it was amazing.
This year, I am blessed to be able to run this program again. Here is how it will work:
FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE:
The families would be completely anonymous. If you would like to participate you can FM me directly and it would be done privately, discreetly, and names would NEVER be disclosed. I would need to know your child's age and size, and specifically what they would like for the holidays, so appropriate gifts can be bought. You would need to be able to pick up the gifts for your child/children at my house (Lindenhurst). Once I know who is participating, I can post ONLY the age/gender/size/wish of your child so appropriate gifts can be bought. Gifts will be unwrapped so you know what your child is getting and so I can distribute them properly. ***This year, for a variety of reasons, we will not be able to do gift certificates. We will provide holiday gifts, clothes, and diapers only****
TO THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO GIVE:
As soon as I have children signed up to receive, I will be creating a thread detailing who is buying what for which child. We were able to keep it extremely organized last year. The gift can be as little or as much as you would like. The gift would need to be unwrapped and sent by December 10th.

More information will follow once I know who is interested in receiving and donating. I can only do this if people are willing to participate on both ends. The season is all about giving and although this is anonymous... what better way to celebrate the holidays then to make someone elses a little brighter!!! Thanks in advance!

If we don't end up with anyone from here, then by all means we will adopt a family. But I can tell you that we ALWAYS end up with the vast majority of the kids coming from LIF people directly.

I will be starting to post kids wish lists by tomorrow morning. Many people pick one or more items on the list and have them shipped directly to me (when you sign up I FM you right away with my address) or you can bring them to me. But I will be accepting deliveries as soon as I put the kids` wish lists up.
