11 month old with trouble eating dinner....

My son is 11 mths old and has been in greta moods and eats well during the day. I try to give him dinner at around 5:30/6:00 and he goes to bed between 7 and 7:30. Lately he fusses and cries throughout dinner. I tried more table food today and he still cries..and whines and wants me to take him out of the chair etc. I feel so bad because he seems hungry, but wont eat too much....he goes to bed easily and sleeps throgh the night..11hrs...

Anyone else experience this?

is he cutting teeth? have you tried offering a drink while he's in the chair or a toy to distract him?

maybe try giving dinner earlier or a food you know he loves

I know that once my son stopped eating, if we gave him a drink from the bottle, he would eat more afterwards.

We never did the toy only because we have the no toys at the table rule.

Is he busier during the day than usual? It could be that he's destressing from the day.

Bella is on the same exact schedule and we have our good days and bad. Some days she'll eat like a champ, others she just clams up and says no (she is almost 16 months old)

She eats like EVERYTHING at daycare...
doc said as long as she is gaining, she eats on her own schedule.
I leave it at that...ESPECIALLY if he is sleeping
