We did it ourselves, and we had it inspected by an engineer. We have always made our decisions without parent involvement.

Well my mom and i are the ones who found the condo complex where we bought...
there were at least 20 condos for sale at that time
I picked out the final 2 that i thought were the best ones...
Brought back my DH to show him around and see which ones he liked..
We put a binder down on the one we loved
Brought my dad back to see them
And yes they walked around and gave feedback as to which one they felt was the best to buy

I put just us because no one saw it b/f we went into contract. But, we had a long time b/t contract and closing, so in between that time, both our parents came to see it, and they gave us feedback then
I would have liked it if they could have come ahead of time to give us some input, but it just didn't work out that way.

Just us.
I felt like it was best that way - no one else was influencing our decisions. It was stressful enough for the two of us to agree, let alone having other people's opinions in on it.

SINCE MY HOME IS OUT OF STATE AND MY IN LAWS LIVE THERE THEY WERE THE ONES MY PARENTS HAVE ONLY SEEN PICTURES BUT GIVING US INPUT SINCE IT IS BRAND NEW

Just DH and I looked at it. But we also moved a little bit north of LI, so it wasn't really practical for either set of parents.
I also knew that my mom was not really in favor of us leaving LI, and I didn't want guilt/influence from her.

We found it and fell in love with it. It was so spur of the moment. We never expected to look let alone purchase something. So when we found it and decided to make an offer, we took his parents to show them what we were interested b/c they were apprehensive about the price. Once they saw it, they were totally on board and behind us 100%!

WELL most of the houses we saw it was just us. But Mike was at work looking at houses on mlsli.com and emailed me this house. I didnt want to go by myself. So I went to my parents house and my aunt and uncle were there so they all came to see it

My DH and I went looking with our realtor and one day I took my mom and our realtor to look - we were debating about one home. DH and I came back the next day and someone else had put a bid on it and they were in attorney review, so DH and I went back to the realtors office, and looked at all the listings. It was really late in the day, and there was one home we had not seen. They had reduced their asking price that day by 20,000 and we called and asked to see it. We fell in love and made an offer that night.
My mom was upset that she did not come to check our house out before we bid and went under attorney review. My parents saw the house during our inspection and all she could do was badmouth it. Everyone else loved it the moment they saw it. Now my mom says things like oh I am so glad you took my advice and got this house.  Yeah, um ok, what ever.

Just me and hubby... which is amazing considering the fact that his mom gave us the entire deposit  Then again, she lives in Israel so I don't think it was worth it for her to travel all the way here just to look at the house

I haven't purchased yet but we have been looking. After our initial look I always had my dad/uncle come and check it out. They are so good with spotting out things and they are always honest.
We don't ask his parents because his side isn't really handy.

Just (technically) dh and I. But when we told his parents about the house, they drove over to it to check it out and talk to the neighbors. I didn't know about that until a few years later!

We asked both our mothers to come along and see the coop. We knew we were getting it but they were giving us money towards it so we figured we would at least show it to them. It also helped hearing that they both liked it, made us know we were making the right decision.

just DH & I, we made our offer within minutes of walking in. We brought our kids & my Mom back while we were in contract. The house was in such bad shape nobody could even visualize what it would look like. My MIL would have been a horror. My Dad saw pics & could NOT see the potential.

After we put a contract on the house we had DH's best friend, who's an architect, to give us some feedback on the renovations that were done on the house.

DH and I found the house and put a bid on it before anyone saw it. We were away when we had to do the inspection so my dad and sister went on the inspection. My mom and DH's parents came back to see the house after our bid was accepted.
