I've been dreading receiving this invite- ever since this bride neglected to RSVP to my wedding. I was on the fence about going.
Does "black tie" REALLY mean that DH has to wear a tux?
I know this is wedding related, but I don't want to get tarred and feathered on LIW, so can you all help me out here?

Now, this is hysterical. The bride called me. We got into the conversation and I asked, "how do you feel about someone wearing a black suit"
She laughed and said, "of course, that's fine. I just wanted people to wear black, but a bunch of guests already told me that they're not going to wear black"
So, I said, "Black Tie means tuxedo and gown. It does not mean WEAR BLACK ONLY"
She said, "OMG, I didn't know that!!!"

I can't believe she didn't know what that meant! Could you imagine telling people what color to wear to your wedding! She'll be in for a shock when she sees lots of women wearing colored gowns!
