Best SUV Spinoff - "Manly" SUV's
DH wants to get a "manly" SUV.
No idea what that means. He would prefer not to get a Honda because I already have the CRV.
So... if your DH drives a SUV/Truck, what is it and does he like it???
Thanks!

I think a GMC Yukon Denali is pretty manly.

I think DH looked at these. It was either this or the Tahoe... All of these "manly" trucks look the same to me... BIG w/ BIG tires. I just hope I never have to Parallel park the thing!

They are not as big as you think. I mean, yes, they are HUGE, but they drive nicely. I love driving the bigger trucks he has. And yes, it's the sister to the Tahoe.

Re: Best SUV Spinoff - "Manly" SUV's
We're in the city now, so we rent cars when we need them. We had a Nissan Xterra once and we both liked it. We felt very "extreme" in it, like we should be driving over trees or something...if that's a test for manliness

Re: Best SUV Spinoff - "Manly" SUV's
I have a Dodge Dakota. My next truck will probably be a Dodge Ram 4 door. 6 passenger, but still room in the bed to carry plywood or a two tons of stone. (Trust me, a guy needs that once in a while... )
I couldn't manage without a pickup truck.
If you can't put your Christmas tree inside your vehicle, it's not manly. If you are afraid to put dirt in your truck, since it might "muss up" the leather and upholstery, it's not manly. If you can't pull a small tree out of the ground with your truck, it's not manly. (I've done all these things and more with my truck.)
Sorry, I don't make the MAN RULES, I just live by them....
The almost-manly cars need a V8, and need to see over the roofs of most cars to qualify.

Re: Best SUV Spinoff - "Manly" SUV's
Thanks everyone for your input!
DH test drove the Tahoe today and loved it.
He is looking into the 4Runner also, but the Tahoe seemed to be more bang for the buck. He also loves the fact that it can tow 7,000 lbs!
We might get a boat next year! Woo hoo!

Isn't it gorgeous?? We test drove both and the 4Runner didn't compare. My DH is praying I pick the Tahoe for my next truck
