Having a kid really does break your heart.

Last night Joseph asked if he could pray to God since Aunt Doreen is in heaven with him. We said sure.

I was getting Maddie out of the bath when I overheard him talking. I go in his room to find him at his window. Eyes closed, hands together. He's talking to God. I hear him say "God, I miss my Aunt Doreen. Could you tell her that I love her?" I tell DH to come upstairs so he could eavesdrop on his prayers. He comes upstairs & hears Joseph saying "Please can you send her back? Please! Please! We miss her. Please God!"

After DH hugs & talks to Joseph about his sister, he broke down in the kitchen. So sad...

Just to make you feel not weepy about my son - he's also spending his recess in the principal's office. It's the 3rd week of school & it is his second time on the detention bench.
