I have had one good friend since we were Babies!! Our moms were friends and we lived next door to eachother and even though our moms are no longer friends and we have both moved several times we still hang out all the time and are constant in eachothers lives.
Besides DH and my sister I have two best friends - One I have known and been best friends with since the 7th grade (JHS) and the other since my Soph. year of HS

My BF and I have been friends since we were 5 and have gone through everything together including dorming in the same room in college. We always say we are more than BFs we are like sisiters. People have asked if we are sisters.

I wish I had that, I thought I did, I kinda still do in a way.
My bestfriend from highschool really hurt me. After two years of not talking to her I heard she was going through a rough time and reached out to her.
I met her for coffee with her kids and it was weird. I felt so comfortable around her, but uncomfortable too.
I will always love her, that will never stop. And I do miss her alot.

My best friend and I have been friends since we were 15. Now, 17 years later, I cannot imagine my life without her. We've been through everything together and our bond is so strong. She's more like a sister than a friend. She lives in Chicago now but we see each other at least 4 times per year and talk every day.

My soul sister (as I call her) and I have been best friends since 8th grade. We've had our ups and downs, but I know she is always there for me (and visa-versa). She knows me better than anyone and we can still LOL at stuff that happened 20 years ago. We always seem to be in the same cycle of life too (going through similiar stuff at the same time).

I have one very "best friend" I've known since I was 4 and we lived across the street from each other. 30 years later and 2000 miles apart (she moved to FL when we were 13), she is still my best friend and can practically read my mind.
I made some really great friends in HS, but over the years, we grew apart as we each had a differnt path in terms of when we got married and had kids.
My college friends are still very close to me. I don;t see them often, but we email all the time.

I've known my best friend since freshman year of HS. We've been to hell and back together. She's my rock. My partner in crime. If I could only have one friend in the world (besides DH) it would be her. She's the sister I never had. Got along without her before I met her, couldnt get along with out her now. She was my maid of honor at my wedding. I love my best friend and couldnt imagine my life if she wasnt in it.

I have the same best friend since I was 4 (28 years!)---she lived across the street from me....we have been through so much and now she lives in NY and I live in VA but we are still close----why? no matter what happens, what the distance is--we keep each other close in our hearts, can pick up where we left off, we dont always talk as often as we used to but when we do we can talk about everything OR nothing at all, our lives have taken different paths but our friends hip is strong....she is a true friend, hard to really explain

Hmmm...I don't know. But it's nice. I'm still good friends with someone I grew up with, though I wouldn't call her my best friend. We met in 4th grade and she was just a bridesmaid in my wedding...next summer I'll be one of hers. It's pretty cool to grow up together....

My oldest and dearest friend I have known since the fourth grade. She was my matron of honor at myw edding.
As for why we are still best friends? Well, personally, I think it is because we can both recite lines, by heart, from AIRPLANE and still find them funny over 25 years later.

I do. We stay together cuz well i dunno.............lol
we always talked everyday after hs and she and i did not go away to college and we always dated guys who were in the same group of friends
When i met my DH i set her up with my DH's best friend........now they are getting married in June
So I will always see her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've known my best friend since high school, but we met at our job... we didn't go to high school together. we've been best friends now for 10 years and i love that we're in the same place in our lives... she's the only friend i have that in common with... i just got married and she's getting married in feb... and the other day when we were talking about our plans to start a family - looks like we'll be preggo around the same time as well!

I'm different. I just met my best friend a little over two years ago in grad school. Our friendship is so tight, though, that it reminds me of friendships I had when I was younger. But, since we're older we can talk things through and not fight.

Yup. I met my best friend in 7th grade homeroom...22 years ago.
I have other really great friends since birth - one I consider a "cousin" (based on how we were raised) and another grew up right next door from me and while we aren't as close as we once were, I still consider her a friend.
