What is the cheapest place to buy Frontline & Heartgard?
We need to buy more of both - where do you recommend buying online??

We buy Frontline from Dr. Foster & Smith, plus it's free shipping. It's cheaper here than anywhere else.

can you buy heartgard online or do you need a prescription? my vet said that after i get my dog tested she'd write me a prescription, but i don't recall getting one when i purchased it before

My vet (who is also a close friend) said to be very wary of online purchases of those items. His reasoning was that the quality can be temperature sensitive. Meaning, they could be stuck on a pallate in a warehouse or out on a loading dock for DAYS on end. There is just no way of knowing how they are stored and the conditions they endured getting into storage.
The safest way is to get it from your local vet.

For heartworm medication you do need a script to get it online.
Drs. Foster & Smith is the cheapest palce i have seen frontline but i have not ordered the heartgard through there. I get that through my vet.

Good idea! I'll call tomorrow. And for those asking about a prescription - the times I have purchased online, I was able to add the vet's information and the website called to verify that it was okay to send the meds.
