Is Pennsylvania on the quarantine list?
Is there still a quarantine list? We were going to go skiing but I was under the impression that we would have to test negative 3 days after coming back and quarantine in the meantime. But I saw on another post they aren’t on the “list”. I would LOVE to take my kids somewhere but don’t want them to miss school for a quick weekend getaway.
....we do have to get tested prior to going to Pennsylvania to enter the state from what I read.

No, PA is OK. Right now, contiguous states aren't on the quarantine list.

And a link in there says which states are "contiguous"

Contiguous states are Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. Travelers from these states are not subject to this guidance.

How do they enforce that if you are driving from NY to PA?

By Order issued November 17, 2020, the Wolf administration is requiring that travelers entering Pennsylvania from other countries and states, as well as Pennsylvanians who are returning home from other countries or states, have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to entering the Commonwealth or quarantine for 10 days upon entry into Pennsylvania. If a traveler chooses to get tested upon entering the Commonwealth, or is waiting for test results, the traveler must quarantine for 10 days, or until receipt of a negative test result, whichever comes first.

Why are there not specific states anymore? Why must travel to or from any state result in a quarantine?
COVID-19 case counts in ALL states are now increasing significantly. This causes an increased risk of spreading COVID-19 when residents travel outside the state or visitors travel into the state. Because of this increased risk nationwide, a negative test result or quarantine for all travel from out of state is now required.
You need a negative test or 10 day quarantine to go from NY to PA, but you don't need a test or quarantine from PA to NY.

I know a lot of people who have gone to Kalahari and nobody asked for them to show a negative test

I think that's what the Gov's are hoping for. There's no way they can monitor every single road that crosses State borders, so by putting out these policies, *most* of us will follow the rules. By having most of us either get tested, self-quarantine, or not travel, it will definitely help control the spread.

It would help the situation a lot more if they just asked for proof of negative test results.
By not requiring it or enforcing it, it really isn't too effective a measure.

Yeah, we are not allowed to go to Pennsylvania unless we quarantine or have a negative test. I asked Camelback water park about this, they said they do not ask for either and do not enforce the rules set forth by the state. They said they'd leave that up to the government. I think it's kind of shity, the rules are there for a reason. We have been traveling all over the Northeast but following the rules. I feel like businesses should definitely not be skirting the rules

I can see how it’d be hard to enforce proof of negative test results. U can show a negative test, but who’s to say u didn’t catch the virus and are an asymptomatic carrier from the time u took the actual test to the time u’re showing the results? It could be a week or a day later that u could have potentially caught the virus without realizing. So maybe that’s why they can’t really enforce this? Cause it wouldn’t be too accurate? Who knows!

Exactly. I said the same thing when my husband had to get tested to go visit his dad. He tested negative on a Monday and the visit wasn't supposed to be until Thursday. A lot can happen between Monday and Thursday.
I never get the requirement of a negative test result to travel. I could test negative today and catch it tomorrow and travel on Saturday with my "negative" test results.
