Re: Where do you get masks?

I like the ones from Live Love Gameday because they are nice and light and I can breathe through them.
But they took a LONG time to get here. It might be better now that the rush is slowing down.

I also ordered from City Threads- they are good too but a little thicker and harder to breathe through. They had kid and adult sizes.

Both are online clothing retailers.

Most of the online clothing retailers are doing masks now- even Venus and Boston Proper I think.

Dh recently got one on Amazon though- a simple black fabric one - and it came pretty fast..

This is the one I like from Live Love Gameday. I like it because it's a soft ribbed material. And they have cool prints...

I got one off of Facebook that is like a scarf and you can pull it up when you need to wear the face covering and then take it down and it stays around your neck. Love it - I have been working through this and it's nice. I don't remember how to add a picture so here is the link

DH got something like that- it's called a buff I think.
But once the weather got warmer he was dying in it.
His was pretty heavy and I guess more for winter- it would be nice and cozy on a freezing day.
The one you posted looks much lighter actually.

Re: Where do you get masks?

Ordered from a local person making them. Rather give my money to someone who needs the extra cash than a big corporation. Much cheaper too.

Re: Where do you get masks?

I had some buffs from when did races that we use. My DH is a fanatic and bought a bunch on Amazon. He has cloth ones, surgical ones, t-shirt fabric ones (which is the ones in use the most), and my sister in law sent us cute print clothe ones that she makes. She makes kids mask and my son seems to like those the most.

I wear the t-shirt ones or Buff which aren’t
doing anything, but it gets me to my car and it’s the easiest ones for me.

The one that I mentioned is very light and definitely geared towards women. I wish I knew how to add a picturehttps://theamazingitemusa.com/collections/best-sellers-new-arrivals/products/scarf

Where do you get masks?

I have 2 sets of cotton masks for my kids, I have a few for myself from people that were donating to the hospital and I have one for my DH. I have 2 boxes of 50 surgical masks I ordered and we use the surgical masks if we have needed to run out which was twice as we just had a leak in our basement. The cotton masks are cute but if you aren’t washing them after each use they can harbor bacteria both from you breathing and externally. Surgical masks are easier because you use once and toss

Re: Where do you get masks?

I got a few off of etsy from this seller:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/Masqe?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=792604488

They are super comfortable and there is a filter that comes with it.

Where do you get masks?

originally, i bought some through a local lady who was using the sales to raise money for first responders.

this week, i'm planning to buy some on etsy. i saw some cute ones there and thought get one or two.

for the most part, my employer has been providing a very steady supply of disposable and fabric masks.

Same, early on I would use the cotton ones over my N95 at work because the donations were coming in like crazy and I wash with my work clothes each day but the constant washing daily was breaking them down so now I have just a set of cotton ones in my car for all 4 of us in case of a dire emergency and a set for just my kids in their diaper bag. They are practical if that’s all people can find, at least people are protecting themselves!

I ordered surgical masks, once they became easier to find. I didn't want to order fabric ones withougt seeing them because I was afraid they be too thick, to thin or too itchy.

I bought these, but they were $70 at the tine. They are $55 now. They are from a medical supply company in Brooklyn & arrived pretty quickly

The are $25 for 5, and they donate masks when you buy. I think they are comfortable, I can't wear any of the disposable masks, they make me sweat.

I got from Etsy from this seller. Her masks are well made and the inside is the same as a surgical mask filter. Kids sizes too.https://www.etsy.com/shop/JamiesLittleJewels

What are the differences between the cloth masks?
I don't mean "buffs" or neoprene ones, I mean the normal cotton ones (without filters).

I see old navy offer 3 for $13, then I see other places sell them for $15 for one.
Is it just a cosmetic difference? (patterns vs solid color) or are the $12-$20 single ones much better? (from a photo standpoint they look the same, just elastic that goes behind the ear)

Thanks

I think that like with everything, pricing is based on the individual supplier.
Some places are overpriced on everything.

How long do you think this mask business will go on? I was thinking of ordering some, but things seem to be getting better and I don't want to waste the money if I can get by with the few I have.
