Have you had chicken pox?
I never got the chicken pox but everyone around me did. My sister had it really bad. I also, like the previous poster had no antibodies to it. I needed to get tested for it when we adopted. I got the vaccine about 13 years ago but got tested again 2 years ago for another adoption and had no antibodies. Who knows. I did get the measles and scarlett fever when I was younger.

Didn't work for me either. All my siblings had it (at different times) - I never caught it. Was sent over to play with every kid in the neighborhood who had it, never caught it. Finally got tested for antibodies (which I did not have), got the vaccine, and went about my life. Then a few years later while testing for a genetic thing, they did a chicken pox antibody test - NO antibodies even though I had the vaccine. Got tested for antibodies again about 6 months later - NO antibodies! So the doctor has determined that I have some strange immunity thing going on. I also have never had a fever sore in my entire life (it's the same type of virus).
Wow! I haven’t had a cold sore either. I’ve been around tons of people that had it, too. I am convinced I have some sort of strange immunity going on as well.

i should have gotten it as a small kid. like others have said, when i was growing up parents would have "chicken pox parties." i never got it as a little kid. i ended up getting it as a teen in high school... i then gave it to a classmate and a cousin.
although the vaccine had already come out when my son was born, he ended up getting it at about 2.5 years.

I'm the opposite. I always watch needles going into me at the doctor's office, donating blood, etc. As a diabetic for 26+ years, I estimate I've had well over 30,000 needle injections. It's a good thing I don't need Xanax for shots!
That’s funny. I used to watch them
Going into me because it thought it was so cool but then I once had 18+ vilas drawn at once and at like vial 8 or so I could hear it pouring into the vial and began humming so I couldn’t hear it. Now I look away and talk the entire time to cover the sound

Yes twice. A mild case of 10 or so pox when I was around 4 and then a much worse case where most of my skin was covered when I was 11.

Never got it as a kid even though I was exposed many times. Eventually got it as a freshman in college along with other peeople at school and it was horrible!!! I got it just as the vaccine was coming out.

At age 15, got it from my little cousin. Not only did it suck, but I had to be put on steroids and several me nebulizer treatments for my asthma.
I was itchy like a mother effa and I couldn’t breath. Lol.

I had it when I was in kindergarten and remember realizing when my dad let me sit in the front seat (wtf?!) and the seatbelt scratched one of the pox on my neck. 1990 was a wild time.

Never had it even though my siblings and friends did. Got the vaccine when I was pregnant with my first. Or maybe just before I was pregnant.

Ugh it was the worst.it was everywhere, even on my scalp. I thought i would die not being able to itch. The oatmeal and the calamine did not help.

Same but it was the 80's. I had such a high fever that I hallucinated and it was very scary!
