Parking at islip airport?
We will be flying out of Islip macarthur airport at the end of the month for the first time. Has anyone parked at the long term parking lot and is it far away from the gates? I am looking into doing this or just taking an Uber but it's an early morning flight so just trying to see what may be easier since i've never been to this airport. (If it makes a difference, i'll be coming from eastern Nassau).

Parking at islip airport?
It is a small airport and everything is close. Here is a parking map. I would just drive there. This way you only have to count on yourself.

If you are a resident of Islip you can get a long term parking sticker. That resident lot is closest.
Nowhere you can park is far though.
It's all so close.
Best airport I ever traveled out of.

The long term lot is directly across from the main terminal. Super close walk.
The economy lot is further from the main terminal but within walking distance. A free shuttle is offered for the economy lot. I tip the driver $2-3.
FYI - there is no covered parking at ISP.

A lot of the hotels in the area will let you park there and then shuttle you to the airport at no or low cost. I never would have thought to look into it, but my DH's uncle told us they always park at the Holiday Inn, and then we looked it up and few in the area do it. We parked for a week at the Hilton Garden Inn, and they charged us nothing - just tipped the shuttle driver. It felt so weird, but we had no problem.

 This exactly.
I hate southwest but still fly out of Islip all the time just because I like the airport. DH and I will drive up to the curb, get out and check our bags and then head over to the parking lot (we are residents and park in the resident lot) and then walk over. If the line for curbside is long, only one of us - usually me - will check the luggage and he will go park and walk and meet me in the terminal.

Parking at islip airport?
Yup definitely have your husband drop you off at curbside with the bags, then go park. I always park there, and it's a super short walk! LOVE Islip! SO easy!
