Fundraisers for schools
What are some successful fundraisers or fundraisers that you really like for your schools? I am not really looking for catalog sales or things like that though!

We do pies through white post farm around thanksgiving. Thats a good one. We have a mothers day plant sale that makes a good amount of money. We also host a bingo family night that is a big money maker.

Fundraisers for schools
One of my friends coworkers has kids in a private school and they do wreaths for Christmas. They are $29 this year and they're so pretty! I've only been doing it the past 2 years, but my girlfriend has been doing it for many years with this company. They're very pretty and real! They smell amazing!

I chair the dine to donate fundraisers at school. Usually find local restaurants or stores that will have a fundraiser. Some local restaurants will give 20 percent of the sale and easy money. Plus it’s a good way to promote a night out for the family
Sone stores do it too. We’ve done jersey mikes Subs for a week and Five Below will do fundraisers. This year I’m looking into Hershey Park tickets

Our biggest fundraisee (in terms of dollar value) has been our spring auction. It's a raffle basket auction and dinner at the Crest Hillow Country Club. It's adults-only.
We also have success with our fall and spring plant sales, and our Holiday Boutique (for the kids to shop).
Trying out a Vendor Night this year for the first time.

Fundraisers for schools
Our biggest is our basket dinner. We also do a Boosterthon which is very successful. We also sell mums, poinsettias, pies and thanksgiving, plant sale for mothers day. Spiritwear is another big seller.

Basket raffle at the school one evening. Brought in a huge sum of money, like at least 10K I think they said. So many companies donated gift cards, including Disney World.

Our school does a silent auction with gifts and gift cards donated (arranged in packages). They also do raffle baskets at whatever events during the year.

Fundraisers for schools
We had the Harlem Wizards come last year and it made a ton of $$$. We also do an auction (last year it was smaller than in past years since we had the Wizards fundraiser too). We also have a plant sale around mother’s day which is quite lucrative. We also have a night at our local baseball stadium where the team gives us part of the proceeds from ticket sales.
Other fundraisers are wrapping paper, Yankee Candle, KidStuff books, restaurant meal deals and the book fair.

Fundraisers for schools
The Catholic school where I teach does a huge Halloween party every year, the Saturday before Halloween. It sells out very fast, they have a DJ, catered food, costume competition, games, etc. Everyone looks forward to it all year. We also do a wreath sale and a breakfast with Santa, the breakfast is usually the first Sunday in December. We do a Walk a Thon at the end of October. We also do the typical candy/pie sales.

Those world's finest chocolate bars. I would buy a whole case if our school sold them. Honestly.
Those Kid Stuff books suck. I always feel forced to buy one and I have never ever once used a coupon from it. It's a waste to me. Useless stuff in there

Boosterthon is very successful at the school I work at. The kids have a blast too.
We did a Fun Run with Boosterthon and raised more than $50K that way. It was lots of fun for the kids and they were really excited about it. It was also great for school spirit.

Our school has done Bingo, but not as a fundraiser. They charge like $5 to get in. Not very profitable unless you charge $$$$, but then you have to get $$$$ prizes.
The Harlem Wizards like someone else mentioned, is great one. They are like the Harlem Globetrotters. Faculty usually play against them. The families love it, and it raises a ton!

As a fundraiser...I don't think it's a good idea. People aren't going to pay much more than like $5 to get in. Especially when they can trick or treat for candy for free on Halloween. Our Girl Scouts do Trunk or Treat, but it's not a fundraiser. By the time you buy a boat load of candy, and a ton of decorations for the cars, I don't think it's a great money maker.

Yes we do and it is super popular and a huge money maker. If you want to enter a car it is $30 and to go trick or treating it is $5 per kid. All the profit goes to the school. Last year we had about 50 cars and probably 200 trick or treaters.
We also do prizes for the top three decorated cars and have a 50/50 raffle at the event too.

Our school PTA does Family Fun Day type events as more of a give back then a fundraiser.
We do a BINGO night, and it's a small fundraiser.
We have movie nights twice a year, and again, it's not one of our biggest fundraisers but we do make some money on concessions (we sell popcorn, candy, drinks, glow sticks) and raffles (we do a movie raffle basket for kids and a 50/50).
We do a Family Reading Night at school during which we have our Scholastic Book Fair, which is a fundraiser.
We also host a Barnes and Noble Night during PARP week at a local store, and we get a percentage of the sales.

We have an adult night Bingo that does real well. It's $30 and that gives you the Bingo boards (not sure how much, but we play a lot). $10 more if you want extra board games.
There's also $10 for raffles they do and every prize was donated. There's a lot of prizes from gift cards to local restaurants to toasters, clothing packages, we even gave out Jets tickets and we've also gotten Yankees box tickets and Mets. Fun night and a lot of money.
The Color Dash makes a lot of money too. I think $25 to start which includes the shirt and some color and kids try and raise more money. A lot of fun for the families and kids of the school and siblings welcome too.
We have Lego night for a cost and everything is also donated. Kids can make lego frames, can buy lego type foods, There's a doll and me tea party. We do a Halloween party night along with a Valentine's dance party. PTA makes a lot of money and we put it back into some of the parties, b-day gifts, shows, the field day, assemblies, etc.
As I said before we do dine to donate as well.
